Do you critic your own bud to hard?

So ive been growing about a year and saturday will be my 4th harvest. I feel I judge my own bud too hard everyone else says that its good but I just feel they are saying that to be nice. Personally I just look at my finished product and think of each little thing I could have done differently. Like this harvest I had a hermi and been findin random seeds when checkin in on my girls. And it just pisses me off ya the buds look good and may be more potent this time but now I got seeds. This was my last harvest and it was a autos I just feel that it wasnt that good idk if it was me or just cuz they where autos.

I think most people are hard critics about their own bud because they're always looking for the best possible. Also, as a side note, you can not judge quality by appearance - looks are deceiving. Even if your bud is frosty as hell, it doesn't necessarily mean its good. It depends on the amount and quality of active substances in the Trics. Not all Trics are quality.
 
my buds never good enough...ever.. and if you think yours is then you lost the drive to perfect the art.
 
And yes I know looks dont mean much. Personally ive smoked maybe 7 grams of 2.5/3 oz I had the rest to dabs

Critique.

And, yes, obsessively. I've ripped a couple weeks before harvest and just made edibles and BHO, because I was not liking the way they looked. I think it's a good thing to always critique yourself. I also thought my shit was weak. I was smoking bowl after bowl, and not getting stoned. Neighbor stopped by and smoked a bowl with and was baked. Falling asleep couch-lock baked... So, it was just my tolerance. But, I still think I coulda' got that cross more solid, and coulda' jacked up the potency.
 
I'm almost always proud of my shit. Most bud around here comes from The Netherlands so competition is fierce. Most of my buddies "think" my weed comes from The Netherlands too, like theirs. I wish I could tell them where it really comes from but I like not being in jail.
 
I'm the same way about my work. I've seen the work I do compared to others, I know I do good work, but I always feel I could do better. That strive to up your game is what makes all the difference.

My first harvest is looking to be pretty nice when the plant is ready, but I'm already thinking about what I can do better next time.
 
As growers, we get used to our own strains.

At least I do, so always strive for more potency,

I recently added UVB reptile lights in an effort to continue this quest.:bigjoint:
 
Mine is never good enough for me, I am always focusing on the terpenes and organic methods as I figure improving the taste and smell will boost the quality (since my wife and I find the better tasting/smelling buds to be more pleasing effect wise) and mine is almost always quite potent. I need to work on maximizing my yields for the space I am using as well as keep improving on the organic techniques.

If there is no reason to improve, you are not a real grower ;)
 
Yes i think my shit sux but everyone says its bomb so i dont know im just so fucken confused. One day ill be happy with my chronic but not today .FUCK MY WEED
 
I mean I know as a grower I fuel my tolerance and it just builds up...I dont smoke bud Its not enough I really only make dabs from my bud and fuck it takes 3/4 dabs to get a good relaxing high

I find myself questioning whether the issue is tolerance or quality if I go awhile without smoking other people's weed.
 
Im a dabber so I know its tolerance I got a lil over 3 grams of oil and I chop saturday so I may try to take a week off while buds dry
