This is going to show all of us that don't have African connections, how to make our own Malawi Cobs.

Ingredients:

1. Plastic 60-gallon trash can.
2. 9 cubic feet of dirt.
3. Cornhusks
4. 1/2 ounce of Malawi Gold or a equivalent sativa.(hang to dry for 7-10 days upon harvest.)
5. Hemp fiber or twine.

Now I will tell you what to do with it all.:blsmoke:

1. Fill the trashcan 25% with dirt.
2. Place a half ounce of Malawi Gold into the cornhusks.
3. Roll your bud back and forth inside the cornhusk compressing it into a cylinder like shape.
4. Tightly wrap the corhusks in the hemp twine/fiber, applying pressure to the herb.
5. Place the Cobs on top of the dirt in the trashcan and cover with the remaining 75% dirt.

We're almost done.. only one more instruction to follow. Once per month, dump about half a gallon of water on top of the dirt in the trashcan. Don't worry if weeds grow, drill drainage holes at the bottom of the trashcan, let the cob cure for 3-6 months. Enjoy:hump:

whats the purpose
,,........

I spent some time in South Africa and smoked quite a bit of malawi, it was amazing. I dont know much about Malawi itself, but the signature "Malawi Cob" is a tasty treat. the weed is rock hard, you have to hit it with a grinder, but the smoke is almost psychotropic.

I talked to a couple people that acted like they knew what they were talking about and they all said the same thing: The weed is sun dried, wrapped in a corn husks and fastened with string, buried in the (dry/hot) african soil, and dug up a couple months later. its a way of curing the weed, apparently something happens to the weed, somehow it gets fermented and becomes more potent.

I dont know if the curing process really makes the weed more potent or not, but I can personally say that the strange curing method didn't make the smoke nasty, on the contrary, the smoke was very plesant. Plus the particular sativa strain that is "Malawi Gold" had a pineappley taste with a powerful head high.

I discovered its potencey after rolling up a fat blunt and enjoying it under the breathtaking african stars. I had my ipod on, when I started seeing the lyrics of the songs I was listening to writen in the sky, I knew that I loved Cobs!

anything new?
smoked both cob and reg cure version

same potency diff taste

id say the reg cured taste better and was more mind fucking

fogponics grows the best bud though

when i compared malwai soil
vs

Fogponics

hands down bigger yields with fog
and taste to me is superior due to massive flush ability with fog and yucca
