DIY LED grow light

I recently built a grow light, and I figured I'd share it. First of all, I want to thank SupraSPL and Greengenes. It is just a copy of a CXA3070 COB setup. COB stands for Chips On Board. I've been using it for less than a week. I'd say it covers around 32"x32" or so. Each cob covers about 15.8" at 30 watts per square foot.

Cree 208 Watt light

(4) Cree cxa3070 3000k
(4) Meanwell LPC-60-1400
(4) Alpine Arctic 11
(1) Bud Industries 12x17 inch aluminum box
(4) 1.5 inch L brackets
(16) #6 1/2 inch screws
(8 ) #6 1/4 inch screws
(1) Cell Phone charger
(1) Power cord

Solder, flux, wire nuts, kapton tape, 7/64 drill bit.

Mount the chips about 16" apart.

Those enclosures are my favorite, lots of different sizes too.

Thanks. That light is super bright. Doesn't look like much shining against a black table. But, when you hang it, I swear it's as bright as a 400 HPS.

I'd love to see what you could produce with that in a 32"x32" foot print!

Definitely agree. Projects like this should really be bumped to the top over the garbage that's been piling up in this section recently.
