Just a vote 'up' for the halogen vaporizer thread in the DIY forum.
Threw it together for less than $20, but it gives excellent results.
'Steamed' out all the good part of weed and into my lungs. Weed not burnt at all, just a dry, low odor leaf that you couldn't tell was weed from its smell.
And I'm sure a volcano and some others are better. When the lottery comes through, they're on my list.
