The premade holes in rockwool are for clones and not seeds. They may still be able to make it to the top but it will take longer.
wow, thanks MC that is something I overlooked myself. I too used the hole that came with the rockwool. I lightly brushed the rockwool fibers over the top of the seed so hopefully a little less struggle will help her come out of the extra depths of rockwool doom?

I did the same until informed by a fellow grower. It makes sense since as the seed pushes against the little rockwool tuft we provide the seed actually ends up going deeper in the hole.

Hey Roseman. Not sure if the thread is still active, but thanks for the advice. One question - with a limited grow space height, can you LST with bubbleponics since the roots are not anchored like with soil? Any suggestions on the best method for this?

Hi RoseMan, I plan on purchasing a Bubbleponics 24 plant system from Stealth hydroponics. I've been doing research on different webisites, an it seems As if S.H. would be the most convient for me, being that's it's my first time attempting to grow, also I've heard that CFL Lighting is much better than HID Lighting but I'm on a $1,000 budget for the entire system. What system and lighting would you suggest than I use, with my budget and experience in mind?

To the people who have built this and use rockwool...where are you placing your top feed tubing in relation to the rockwool?

the problem with the system from sh is you cant grow that many plants that close together for very long. you will have to go to wally world for seperate tubs. by the way you can buy the whole thing at walmart and lowes. but you end up paying about the same price. i bought one from sh, and have made 2 more on my own. very easy to do. but its hard to find net pots rockwool and hytrgen rocks. unless you have a hydro store near you.

OK folks I have a new area DR120 tent, 6" exhaust to a radiant 6" reflector with a Phresh 6 X 24 filter at the top back of the tent. Will be using a CMH Phillips 400 Retro White bulb and I have a Black Star 240 panel. Intake is a 4" direct tap to AC duct have both turned way down as I am only using the LED at the present. I am having fits with the ventilation aspect just trying to get the tent to stay between the 70's in Temp. Turn the 4" up and the tent is a puff ball. Turn the exhaust on and the tent sides suck in two feet. I continue to adjust their rheostat's daily hoping to find a magic point but with out the heater (CMH) light running I think I am just chasing my own demon. I am waiting on my socket extender to help the reflector out. Currently I have 1 Snow Ryder Auto (male) collecting pollen for the future in a two gallon soil. Two Russian Rocket Auto (Fems) one will be having children to keep the goods rolling during flowering. Next I have a DinaFem (fem) Blue Widow in the tent still in her Dixie Cup about three days old and a Dutch Passion Mazar (Fem) also in her Dixie cup at day two under LED. I have two Igloo 5 gallon,s with 8" net pots and 3/4" shutoff valves. I have the two Auto (Fems) in 3 gallon DWC's. What should be done with the Igloo's use them or make them a reservoir and grow out a couple of monsters in a Scrog. Only personal use but I would very much like to have a Bud Winery of sorts in the future. The Black Star has given me an outstanding harvest in the past even though I was extremely short on grow space and this time I would like to interlace both lighting footprints. Ideas this is about the 10th day I have had the tent up so learning is and always will be a daily event. Ideas are always welcome?

Hey man u seem like the expert here. Could u please tell me what would be good seeds for my SuperLocker 2.0 which is 15" x 24" and about 5 feet high. I was told I a can grow about 4 plants in there because of the limited space. I would like seeds that are:

-femenized
-easy to grow
-high yields

Please remember that I have never grown nothing and what is a reliable seed bank??
