Disappointed with Breeders.

10 years running now I've been buying seed, from many breeders with threads on this site.
I'm tired of taking the good with the bad, I don't have room nor time to waste on average phenotypes; which is my largest complaint. You buy a pack of beans, and have to hope for the one.
And then you can't keep the one without cloning everything, then smoking it to find the one; which takes many months.
And then new breeders come along, crossing and re-naming the same strains from 5 years ago; confusing and watering down genetics. Making seed purchasing even more difficult.
And seed banks are even worse, selling anything they make the mistake of buying.

i am actually happy with breeders & banks. as time goes on & more people come out of the shadows, along with transparency revealing the good from the bad, we are all becoming better growers because breeders & banks.

Do some research and due diligence. It’s not that difficult if you spend the time. What have you grown that was disappointing? Pretty sure there are quite a few USA breeders doing good work.
This. If you do your research you can find some pretty good stuff that has stable pheno's.

But, if you're truly hard set on finding "the one"; perhaps it would be best to do it yourself? As the old saying goes, if you want it done right, you gotta do it yourself.

After almost two decades of buying seeds from euro banks and chasing the big names, I was also left a bit disappointed.

Over the last couple of years I have only used USA banks, and I have also purchased from dudes on here like Gen, Docs Dank and Danonomics. All three have been awesome, and there are others on this site doing great things that I would buy from before buying the hype out there...

Tester side projects are real underground fire and they are the next superSTARS catch em meow before they go pro, shhhh don’t tell anyone .
I have never asked this question, and I could probaply search it out, but how does one "test" or get on the "list".

Do breeders put it out there that they are looking?

Some breeders post they need a few testers..(these come with guidelines most the time)
Others just send out test seeds with orders(these get resold/stashed away)

Some sell testers(????? It is what it is)

& some seed out testers when asked.(free to just grow at your own will,no real guidelines with these for the most part)

That's the way i see it.

PeakSeedsBC has been consistently, steadily stabilizing and improving for a very long time now. How can you do better than that?
They were my very first order, almost 10 years ago.
No complaints, other than taking 6 weeks to get my seeds...which was the mail's fault.
I ran his C99 long before he worked w/it, the Bros. Grimm pineapple pheno obtained by Frost Bros. when they went out of business.
Which was unfortunate, cuz' FB had some great genetics.

Not sure how breeders are at fault
You want a stable strain with identical pheno's ? good luck
Those elite cuts don't come from 10 seeds, but ya never know
Why can't they produce them?.
That's exactly what I want, their cup winning pheno they advertise on every site.
10 beans, all the same...preferably feminized.
This I'd pay $100 a seed for.
