Did my girl go Hermie on me???

FIRST - if there is a better place for this question, I apologize in advance; I may have a hermie in my garden, and I felt it would be better to get this question out there so that I can pull it from my cabinet ASAP if necessary.

Now - On to the show. :)

Quick overview - vegged about 7 weeks under CFL's indoors. These are "supposed" to be Sour Diesel (time will tell). I'm a newbie grower (1st grow).

I'm 2 1/2 weeks into flowering, and things are looking great as far as I can tell. Decided to do a little LST a few days into flowering, appears to have turned out OK.

My flowers are looking nice. However...I went to water them this morning, and one of my 3 plants have these little nubbies at bud sites. I don't know if they are simply new buds, or if this one plant decided to go hermie on me.

Most of my close-up pics turned out fuzzy, but I've included the clearest one, along with an overall pic. PLEASE NOTE THAT MY SUSPECTED HERMIE IS IN THE FIRST PHOTO ONLY - THE OTHERS ARE FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY.

Disregard the leaves with burnt edges - they were growing into the lights and got a little warm (which is what led me to do LST, since I have very little vertical room left).

HELP!

i had a hermie, the sacks will not be smooth they will have some lines in them so they can open, unlike a seed sack
a seed sack is smooth and hard... a pollen sack looks like a football/banana

Hermie for sure but that doesn't mean it's trash. If you have another place to keep flowering anyway. I did an experiment once where I had a hermie with mostly female parts (buds) so I cut off all the male parts that were showing about 2 weeks in about 5 branches including the main cola and the results were surprising. The buds that were forming turned out huge and I ended up with four huge colas and the buds were tasty. Just saying that hermies can be good but only if they don't turn the rest of your hopefully sensi crop into seeded crop.

I done this and yea it worked. only thing is they are a pain, scanning daily for male flowers. i got 2 onces of my hermi.

This could be a very sex starved female plant. There will be just a few scatered pollen sacks, not all over the plant, like a full on herm. They will also appear very late in the budding cycle.....The hard part,,,let them go till they appear full, but not burst open yet. (If one does burst, no big deal, you are harvesting soon anyway) Carefully pull them off, and place in a paper bag, keep in a warm, dry, well lighted place. On the NEXT budding cycle, use a q-tip and carefully put some of the pollen on a couple buds on the best plant. The resulting seeds will all be female, and should be very potent.

Well - after seeing everyone's responses, I went back to my grow cabinet and looked again.

These came on fast - overnight - and in the few hours since I found them, several of them have grown into the banana-looking sacs.

So, did I simply mis-sex this one? I doubt it, since there were pistils in the beginning....but then again, this IS my first grow.....or is this simply a hermie? Do male plants flower like this?

If it's a straight-up male, into the garbage it goes. But....if it's a hermie, what are my chances of getting SOMETHING out of it? I have another grow cabinet that I was using to veg - I have a few smaller plants vegging in there now, but I could pull them and go ahead and start flowering a little sooner than I did with my first batch (they got WAY taller than I had anticipated anyway).

The 2 cabinets are a good distance apart (one in the basement, one on the upstairs level).

What's the general recommendation? Do I try to get something from this one, or being a newb, do I just cut my losses and move on?

I'm only 2 weeks into flowering, so it's not like I'll be harvesting soon. If I separate this one, what can I do with it? Will it simply pollinate itself and produce seeds? CAN I still harvest some of the buds? The sacs seem to be on at least half of the flowers.....

well man if its the only one then it could be a false pollen sack i have had a few do that. it is common to some strains if their are more then one. yes it is herm even taking the balls off will not work they will have tons of ballz and millions of lil pollen grains . you can however remove from the room and let it grow and pollenate its self and have a good stash of female seeds but thier is a higher chance of it going herm but not to much thats what alot of seed banks do to get fem seeds also the thc production shuts down after the seed process starts so the smoke wil be weeker

read the posts in your thread there has been good advice given by many people

Yea - I've seen lots of suggestions. The thing is....they range from "get rid of it" to "try to salvage it". Being new, I don't really know which is good advice and which isn't.
