Dear California Growers

I live in Philadelphia currently after moving back here from being in colorado for a year and am looking to move to california. No I am not chasing the dream of selling to dispensaries but I do want to grow as much high quality pot as I possibly can safely. I am having difficulty honing in on an area, every time I like a spot someone says something about it that throws me off.

Basically what I am looking for is in order of importance

Where I can grow the most pot safely within a 99 plant limit, I want to do both outdoor and indoor

I want to be located in a semi rural area but close enough to a city where I can drive in for fun + pts for san fran (rural wouldnt matter if I could grow with less worry nearer to town/city) big + for nature and views I can enjoy my coffee and joint in the morning

Affordability, last on the list, Price is always a factor but my budget is large. Id like to keep it to 2500 a month for renting (not including grow costs this is what I am willing to spend on a place alone) , I understand growing costs if indoor will be very high I have already charted out nutes lights fans the insane electric etc.

Any information or feedback that helps me lock in on a chill spot would be greatly appreciated and receive rep, thanks!

Don't mind me, I'm not from there, just passing through your thread. Oh wait, could you do me a favor when you move out there? Please tell everyone you see, as often as possible, that the 49ers are the suckiest bunch of mcsucks that have ever sucked. Thank you, kind sir or madam!

Ok I felt bad for bombing into your thread, so I googled. This answer seemed solid:

"For what its worth NorCal tends to be less expensive than SoCal. Emerald Triangle area (Humboldt, Trinity, and Mendocino counties) is still more expensive than Illinois will be, but its way cheaper than L.A or the Bay area."

I hope that helps. =)

I've seen houses up there for auction that sit on a few acres and have, for example, five bedrooms and three baths. Some start at the 15,000 range so it's not bad at all. I remember seeing one that was located in between the ocean and the redwoods, definitely a place I would love.

I'm saving up my pesos for a big move out there, and I also have family that live all over Cali so that's a big plus.

I live in the Bay Area. East Bay to be a little more specific and I know a loooot of people that grow around here. I have never personally seen anything larger than about a 50 plant grow but I have heard from a few people that were reliable that they had some decent sized grows

I can move anywhere and do indoor, I would like to be able to do outdoor as well. I want to be able to stick 30-40 good sized plants outdoors while keeping my indoor running year round

There's a NORML site that discusses local limits by county and city ... I'd do the search but my bladder just went ~bing!~ cn

Look into Santa Cruz County - 30-45 minutes to San Jose. Little towns like Felton, Boulder Creek, Ben Lomand, close to the ocean and beaches too.

From calNORML website: Santa Cruz
"100 sq.ft. canopy and up to 99 plants is allowable under county guidelines, for a patient or a bone fide caregiver."

Id say the central valley. Stockton, Lodi, Turlock, etc.
Very rural yet also developed, close to the bay area
