Cupboard Grow Room

Hi,

I am in the process of setting up my first grow room and was wanting to share my thoughts and get some feedback.

I plan on making closet
space H:6ft, L:4ft D:2ft.

I was hoping I could grow about 4 plants in this space using soil. Is this a big enough space? Should I have more or less plants in this space?

I plan on adding a small 120MM fan at back at the top for sucking the are out and adding a small intake hole at the bottom of the cupboard. Is this big enough? Will I need more fans?

I have a Growlush 100W Energy Saver fluro 6400K for veg and wanted to confirm that this is powerful enough for my setup?

For flowering I have a Growlush 400w HPS High Output lamp and am a bit concerned that in this space this might be too much. As in, I might burn the thing down to the ground. Am I just being paranoid and will this kill my plants?

THX.

get somekinda of a cool tube, or build one. probably needa bigger fan, that light gets hot! over 95, plant dies, i find. 400 is a bit much, rather thats a bit small for 400, good luck. :fire:

Is it better for me to drop down to a 250watt globe? or should I use my 400watt?

use the 250 mate, less chance of burning your babys also get yourself oscillating fan to go in there, with another bigger fan to exhaste the air out might want to have a look on the forums 'Do it yourself' about making a carbon filter, if your thinkin of putting that many in a space like that its going to stink up big time, you might want to get yourself some smaller CFL's for side lighting :) good luck

Sorry for highjackin' your thread...

I'm currently setting up my first growdrobe also, to the same measurments as gadgets.

my major Q's is what is a good ventilation system for a 6'x4'x2' grow closet?
planning on using Panda film for the inside (B/W PVC) and soil mix for the plants.

Current planned setup;
- 2x 4" Computer fans on opposite sides, bottom of closet
- 1x Small pedestal fan inside closet
- 6" Ceiling Fan top of closet
- 5x 16W CFL for germination / vegitation
- 250W Metal Halide for flowering
- 12" Fan Inside external box, blowing through ducting to cool Metal Halide

i attached a quick sketch of the proposed setup, to help anyone to decipher the above
(it's paintastic!)

Can anyone see any obvious problems / issues with a setup as such?
is it ventilation overkill?

any input / suggestion would be greatly appreciated,

Cheers
