Could the Cops Use This Forum to Find YOU?

The police can and probably do use forums just like this to bust growers.

I am especially concerned for those who post pictures with cell phones that have GPS enabled- usually the GPS coordinates of where the picture was taken is attached to the photo which makes it VERY easy for the law to come get you.

Geez, sometimes I hate technology.
Actually this is sort of a mixed blessing. They just program in the words or other things they are looking for and set the crawler in action. Then the search results are perused. It's actually missing quite a bit. So times are probably better now than they were 10 years ago. However now if they want all instances of a word they will get it. So they will miss less. But as long as there's a very high noise to signal ratio it's safer.

Spiders. Why'd it have to be spiders. cn
Well I called it a crawler trying to spare you the spider thing. Are you sure you're not a chicken in a polar bear suit?

Governments are supposed to make life better for us, instead they're taking our rights away and killing off people in third world countries.
this is the problem right here, a misunderstanding of the scope of government. as a dear friend of mine described it once, "the policy of the American government is to leave its citizens free, neither aiding nor restraining them in their pursuits."

Side note for any law enforcement that is reading this.

I am a full supporter of what you do, I have nothing but respect for you and the dangerous situations you have to put yourself in.

That being said if you ever need clarification on anything I'm doing, please message me through here instead of smashing down my door. I am more than happy to accommodate your questions without revealing who you to others.
To late, boots are on, K-9 fed, diesel full. On the way.

I realize that webcrawler is a term of art. But the image it produced in me was instant, and it put me in mind of yesterday's spider/glass door thread.

As for the zoological question ... that'd be a penguin, no? cn
