I am speaking for myself here, although others may harbor this view:

Jared was not part of the tea party.
I am not trying to connect him to the tea party.
What I am trying to connect is gun violence to firearm rhetoric.
This event has painfully brought to light the reality behind gun violence and anti-government (which is blatant that he was anti-government) sentiment.
I think that engaging, especially on a political level, in anti-government and firearm metaphors can lead people into making an environment that is unhealthy for the US on every level.
Everyone should be recognizing this fact, both in their own actions as well as the actions of others.
This needs to be dealt with and end here.

I do not agree. Most strenuously.

No one went after Leftists after Reagan was shot. They went after the lunatic who shot him.

Words are NOT the problem here.

Words are extension of thought.

Word control=thought control.

Thought control=mind control.

Proceed and prove that paranoid schizophrenic CORRECT after all.

Im not saying that people can't say things, just that they shouldn't.

I am saying that firearm and violent rhetoric has no place in politics, not that people can't say it, but when they do (and like they did) the public should hold them responsible for their words, as they are adults.

I am responsible for mine, as you are for yours.

Not being allowed to speak what you want is criminal.
Not being responsible for what you say is deplorable, and far from a quality that needs to be defended.

and by the way, i'm *certain* she has absolutely no editorial powers over her PAC. if she was in any way against the image or ashamed by it, she would not have advised "don't retreat, reload" and "aim high, shoot with accuracy" (direct quotes).

This was not a TERROR attack. This was a rampage. A one-man crime.

He did not shout "Teabaggers Forever!" while shooting.

This was one lone disgruntled nut-job acting alone.
