thats per gallon of water right? id like to try it in a DWC set-up with some coco croutons
Yes, per gallon. I forgot to mention that if you are using RO water this will come out at 5.8 and you won't need a PH or PPM device. I have no idea how this would work with DWC. I used regular coco in Smart pots.

I usually veg between 6 to 8 weeks depending on the strain.
I only use 2 14w cfls is why it takes soooo long.

So, some recycling advice needed, search tool not giving me what I need.

Harvest is done and it's time to get the clones under the main lights.

got the coco spread out in the trays under lights to dry it out due to a flood from the irrigation system and had to harvest in a hurry to avoid mould and budrot.

Didn't really give it enough cannazyme in the period before harvest, but managed a few half strength doses.

Is it a bad idea to let it dry out too much?

Is it ok to just remove the main root structure?

do I need to put the fibre pots through the washing machine before i reuse them or just soak them in oxygen bleach?

Should I use cannazyme from the off with the new cuttings?

Thanks to all, roll on :)

Hey yoda this is how i went about it

1) Get a good flush on them in the end
2) then pull the main root ball
3) remove all the coco from the smart pots and
Break it up in a bin.
4) fill the bin with water and double dose zyme
Let sit for 48hr
5) then drain it and let it dry out

thats about it :) just remember when you go to use
it mix to 50/50 with new coco

the smart pots i like to dry out then shake out all the coco
and dust then put them in the washer normal cycle......

Been rockin the Coco every other day feed in this room with the Roots Soilless mix. Loving the results thusfar however id never use it again. Its literally 70% perlite and if i wanted that id mix my own. I feed 3x, then feed just 2ml CalMag as a flush, i also use Drip Clean each time. Killin it.

Week 1 just completed.

My 1st ever grow in coco/perlite mix 11L fabric pot using canna coco nutes with magne-cal+ and liquid silicone, yeild was just over 8oz after cutting the tops from most of the colas due to bud rot. The whole grow is in my sig, i'm now on my 2nd grow using exactly the same stuff but with 2 plants this time :)

Hey folks. I'm going to try coco fiber for my next grow! (Was initially going to try aero but figured I should get a few more grows under my belt.)

I have just a few questions that I have been researching into and asking around for multiple opinions:

What's the recommended brand of coco?

Do you recommend perlite? How much? (I go by a 3 day feed schedule if it helps your recommendation. 1st day is nute feeding, 2nd is straight ph'd water, 3rd is nothing.)

What would be the best organic nutrients for coco and/or perlite? I hear liquid is the best.

Thanks :bigjoint:

Cocotek is pretty good. There's a bunch out there, just search coco choir on amazon and read the reviews. I still rinse mine pretty thoroughly no matter how much they say they do it on the package.

Perlite isn't necessary but it doesn't hurt either..one of the benefits of coco is that you can't really over water. I would recommend fabric pots though.

Aqua flakes makes a line specifically for coco, has more calmag in it. It's good shit. Super simple and grows fat buds
I've also used Jacks classic which is much cheaper and does a real good job. You just have to supplement with calmag or epsom salts.
