damn brotha ..you're looking close on that SB .... you definitely got an early pheno on that one i recommend cutting it mostly cloudy-clear. remember taste and smell changes the longer the ripeness goes .... not that that is a bad thing. SD and the Crazy miss hyde look fuckiing insane also ........ i got a feeling Chocolope is going to be a looooong flower for you, but they say it's well worth it..

keep up the good updates and the good work .... can't wait for a smoke report to see which one you're gonna be liking best outta the bunch ... Love grows that only run a few strains at once.

Thanks brother! I agree that the Strawberry Blue looks like it is going to be an early finisher. I can't say the same about the Crazy Miss Hyde though. I'm looking at about 10 weeks on that one. The Sour Diesel will probably be ready around Day 63. According to the breeder I think it is a 60-70 day strain, or maybe it is just 9 weeks. I would have to look back in my thread for the exact numbers. The Chocolope according to DNA is supposed to be a fast flowerer, but I think it will take a tad longer because of where it is in reference to the light. I added a few 23w CFL's for some extra light on the far side of the lady. It can't hurt it anyway. Anyways I love having multiple strains in my grows just for the simple fact that I get burnt on a single strain fairly quickly. I especially love it when I have a multi-strain grow, and they all turn out DANK! I couldn't ask for anything more. Lol! Plus, I think growing the same multiple plants of the same strain is kind of boring, or at least not as much fun as growing multiple strains at the same time. Harvest is getting closer by the day, and I wish it would fracking hurry up! Lol!

just a little tip .. you may know already about cfls. If you're going to grow with cfls the best lumens per wattage is in a 42 watt. I used a few when i first started along with the 23 wts. the 42 wt makes a difference for sure. Even the 65 watt footballs can do a great job of vegging or flowering, although they can be a bitch due to their size.

i've heard different reviews on chocolope as far as flowering time. If you have the sativa leaning pheno which it looks like you do ... that bitch is gonna take alot longer than they estimate. But they say the smoke is phenomenal.... good fucking work man. keep up with being patient with da girls.

oh what size pots are you using??

I'm using 3 gallon pots. A couple are actual buckets that I just drilled a bunch of holes in the bottom to allow for runoff water. I have a couple 5 gallon pots, but I didn't have the room or the dirt on hand to use them. I don't try to get my plants very big, so I have had descent results with the 3 gallon pots. I imagine that if I wanted to do a SCROG it would be better to use the 5 gallon or even a bigger pot than that. I've seriously been considering trying my hands with a SCROG, but I like to have a few different strains to keep from getting burnt out on the same shit day in and day out. The yields that I see people pulling off of a SCROG sure makes just smoking on a single strain very appealing! Lol!

As far as the CFL's go, I am just using it for some extra light in places that seems to be dark. My electric company is constantly sending me 2 free CFL's ever so often, and that is what I have been using for the most part. Lol! But when I did buy some at the local Walmart or Home Depot, I am pretty sure that I didn't see any CFL's that were bigger than a 26w in any of the different spectrums and brands. I know you can buy the bigger one's online and probably at your local hydro store, but I'm not going to put the extra money into it.

I've heard all good things about the Chocolope, so I am expecting some good quality herb from her. I hope she doesn't take forever, but I am willing to wait as long as it takes for her to ripen to where I like it. She will be the last to get harvested, and I will already have a good selection of some quality buds. So waiting until she is ready will be a piece of cake. Now I am about to go nuts waiting for the other one's to finish, so I will have something to smoke on. And that is putting it lightly!

Oh Ataxia, thanks for all the praise brotha!

Very nice looking Bennyy1! The Crazy Miss Hyde looks like a very solid strain to me. It doesn't have alot of stretch after the switch, so you can veg it to a nice size without having to worry about it growing another 3 ft after the switch. The Crazy Miss Hyde is my first go with Samsara's genetics, but I do have a Sweet Black Angel that I got free as well that I will try for sure after seeing the results from this one. It looks like it is going to be my best yielder this go around, and it is by far the frostiest strain of the bunch as well. It has a nice acidic berry smell to the touch, but it isn't to strong. Although I do love the super strong odor strains, they can be a bit nerve wracking to grow. I did take a small sample bud off of each of the 3 older strains to let dry out to try and taste test it. I also checked the trichs and they are all 3 at about the same place. They have a few ambers on the leaves. Then the majority have either turned cloudy are about half cloudy and half clear trichs. So they don't have much longer to go according to me. I would guess at around 60 days they will all 3 be finished. I am referring to the Strawberry Blue, Sour Diesel, and Crazy Miss Hyde. I will be harvesting the Strawberry Blue first, and then the Sour Diesel. Leaving the Crazy Miss Hyde for last. I like to have some amber trichs with the majority being cloudy with very few clear trichs. I will be starting to flush the 3 older girls with their next feeding with straight water until harvest. That will give me about 10 days of nothing but water. This is by far my favorite time of the grow. I can't wait to harvest and it is right around the corner. It's going to be a Happy New Year!. Thanks for all the praise, and feel free to post pics or whatever. I will be watching!

The Chocolope is starting to smell amazing! It reminds me of cannalope's or mango's. Fruity buy not like the other fruity strains that I have grown. The smell is starting to really stand out in the garden. Even over the strains that are just about ready to be harvested. I see now why this strain is a personal favorite of alot of people. Speaking of plants ready to be harvested, the Strawberry Blue looks ready to me! The buds are so dense on this one. I bet you could break a window with them. Lol! The smell has dissipated some though. It looks really tastey though. Personally, I think all 3 strains are ready to be harvested whenever. It is just a matter of personal preference on how I want my trichs as of now. I'm planning on chopping down the first plant on Day 60 of 12/12. Today is Day 53 I think, so I will probably chop on New Year's Eve. Trim and then hang that plant and let it dry and then put into jars. Then pick the next strain and repeat the process.

So I just got finished toking on a joint of the Strawberry Blue, and I have to say that the buzz is pretty nice. The small bud that I clipped off dried in about 3 days. The smell that I have been so fond of doesn't transfer over like I wanted it to. But once I broke into the bud and caught a whiff I was happy. The bud is just super dense. This has to be the most dense bud that I have grown yet. It's not the frostiest bud I have grown, but it still looks nice. I smoked a bud of the Sour Diesel yesterday, and I was impressed with it as well. This one has to be the surprise strain of the bunch at only a few bucks a seed. They were cheap, really cheap. It is nice and frosty and pretty dense. It just has this sour smell to it. Not really any diesel smell to it at all, but I still like it. The name just doesn't do this strain any justice. Is this strain a good representation of Sour Disel? No, but it is a good strain. I also snipped a bud off of the Crazy Miss Hyde. It is the frostiest strain out of the bunch. I haven't smoked it yet though. I willl later on today. Today is Day 56 of 12/12, so I will be chopping in just a few days. Overall, I am really happy with this grow as far as the quality of the smoke. Now I am just curious as to what my yields are going to be. Hopefully I get at least a couple ounces a plant.

keep up the good work man! .... maybe give the stawberry a bit longer .. I know mine took a while, but then again both phenos got frosty quick, just took long to finish. SD especially ECSD doesn't smell like diesel much at all ....it has more of a sweet citrus like taste, with a good bit of sour. like sucking on a sugar coated lime.... or at least the versions i've had are.

good shit though my man ..... keep up with the pics when ya can!

I decided to go ahead and chop the Strawberry Blue today. I had planned on waiting a bit longer, but I just don't feel like waiting any longer. Plus, the bud I smoked the other day was tastey. Anyways here are a few pics that I took during the trim. Enjoy!

Chocolope: Day 40 of 12/12

I took some pics a few minutes ago, so I wanted to go ahead and post them. First, is the Crazy Miss Hyde. Isn't she a beauty? She is just covered in trichs. I know I have said that in every post of mine, but she really is! She will probably be my best yielder out of the bunch. Samsara did a very nice job with this one. I will definitely try out the Sweet Black Angel that I have from them sometime.

The Sour Diesel is looking very nice too. The buds are pretty dense, and are pretty frosty too. The buds are a light green color, and the sugar leaves are a really dark green. It has these pale brown colored hairs on it creating a very nice looking bud. It doesn't look like it is going to be the best yielder though. It is defintely some high quality smoke. I am completely surprised that this one turned out as well as it did. Rokerij genetics are very cheap compared to most of the other feminized genetics out there. I did have a couple dud seeds that wouldn't germinate for me though. This strain grew like shit for a long time after the switch, and it dropped the majority of its leaves. There were no leaves at all on the bottom 2/3 of this plant. Lol! That will make the trim that much easier.

Boy am I glad that I grew out this Chocolope out. It just smells amazing and it is really strong too. Very fruity smelling that reminds me of mango's or cannalope's. There is something else in the smell that I just can't identify, but whatever it is is pleasant to say the least. Although this plant is pretty small because of how I grew it, I believe that this strain would have been a good yielder. I can already tell that I am going to love this strain. I am so glad that I have 5 more seeds of this strain to grow down the road.

I will post my dry weight and some pics of the buds in a few days whenever it is finished drying. I hope you enjoy!

Crazy Miss Hyde: Harvest Day 61 of 12/12

IMG_0881.jpg IMG_0883.jpg IMG_0884.jpg

This is the hardest strain that I have ever had the pleasure of trying to manicure. I had to buy some latex gloves, because this bud was just so damn sticky! I didn't want to get resin all over my hands from handling the bud, so I wore the gloves. I probably lost quite a bit of wieght due to the fact that I had to trim a bunch of the leaves off to this strain. Now, I just have to wait for this strain to dry out, so I can see what kind of yield I got off of it.

I just finished putting the Strawberry Blue into jars. The Strawberry Blue actually filled up 2 mason jars completely. I decided to go ahead and weigh the buds on my scale. I am fairly happy with the overall yield of this strain. Please Enjoy!

JAR #1: 32.6 grams
+
JAR #2: 37.1 grams

Total Weight: 69.7 grams or 2.5 ozs.

I went ahead and started the paper towel method to germinate some seeds for my next grow. I decided to go with 4 Regular Cannaventure seeds. 2 are Purple Berry BXII and the other 2 are from his Mother's Mix. I also started 1 Feminized G13 Pineapple Express, 1 Feminized Reserva Privada Headband AKA Sour Kush, and 1 Feminized Barney's Farm Blue Cheese. There are about 4-5 seeds that are barely showing their tap root, but I will wait until tomorrow to plant them. I got some Fox Farms Ocean Forest soil to start these in instead of my normal Miracle Grow soil that I had been using. This next grow should be interesting to say the least. I am really loooking forward to it. I will start a jounal on it, but I am going to wait until I am about to put them into flower. That will be a while down the road before that happens.

So far out of the Cannaventure Seeds, 1 Purple Berry BXII germinated, and 2 of the Mother's Mix seeds germinated too. I went ahead and put 2 more Purple Berry BXII seeds inside the wet paper towel along with the 1 that hadn't germinated yet. I have already transplanted the seeds that had a tap root on them into some Fox Farms Ocean Forest soil. I also germinated and planted 1 Feminized G13 Pineapple Express, 1 Feminized Reserva Privada Headband AKA Sour Kush, and 1 Feminized Barney's Farm Blue Cheese. It sounds like a nice lineup if I do say so myself!

Crazy Miss Hyde

Jar 1: 30.1g
Jar 2: 30.4g
Jar 3: 24.2g

Total: 84.7g

84.7g/28g= 3.025 Ozs.

I don't think I did a half bad job on this strain. I am satisfied with my overall product and yield. The smell is quite pleasant already, and I just now put it into jars. Hopefully it gets better as times moves on and it gets a better cure. Even now it smokes and tastes pretty good. My friends seem to like it. I'm just a bit more picky than they are. Anyways I am about to start harvesting the Sour Diesel. I don't think it is going to be nearly as bad as trimming that Crazy Miss Hyde was. I will post a couple pics of the trim process.
