im not trying to bitch or anything...but whats the point of having a "spirituality, SEXUALITY, and philosophy" section if we cant speak in somewhat graphic terms? its not like anyone was being rude or anything, so why did the threads get closed? i mean...were all supposed to be adults here anyway...

All you have to do is read the first and last post...

FDD is right it WAS vulgar... All of the things said in the first post could have been expressed (in an adult manner) without using vulgarity... =]

There is nothing wrong with being graphic but being childishly nasty is just unneeded...

Compare it with his post just a few words changed could make the difference between being nasty and being descriptive... IMO...

...I thought I just needed regular sex to build up my stamina...

...I blame it on her by telling her she's too tight and she's too sexy...

to an extent i do totally agree that some of it is somewhat childish and i only found it mildly vulgar...but in all honesty were supposed to all be adults here, who should be able to maturely handle the language and subject matter. and if people find that thread to be a bit too graphic for their liking, they dont have to read it or participate in the discussion...u know? :blsmoke:

I agree with you sarah. I have no problem with the rules... but don't make following them so complicated. Don't claim that this is an "adult" website... and then disallow anything adultish. Don't have a forum for sexual discussion and then close a bunch of threads which contain sexually explicit language. I'd like to know what words are considered "vulgar" or "obscene". Is "shit" vulgar? I'd say it is. Its vulgar language... but its used a hundred times a day on this site. I understand that the admin wants to keep this site clean... but I don't agree with telling ADULTS that they aren't allowed to use adult language. I don't see the harm in explicit language. Explicit pictures, videos and links are a different story. Not trying to challenge anybody... I just think things should be clarified and revisited by the admin.

I was thinking the same thing. This is a COMMUNITY. We should be able to inquire about certain things. Sometimes these type of discussions do get out of line and I can understand closing them when that happens... but this one hasn't gotten out of line yet. unfortunately, I foresee a couple of tyrants coming in here and changing that.

i think the word that seems to cause a lot of problem is "p***y" i didnt wanna type it out cuz i know thats one of the words that is frowned upon...which i DO understand...but did we have to close the whole thread just cuz some potty mouth uses that word? lol...oh well...and its not that im mad or anything...i mean...fdd is just doing what hes supposed to do by keeping the threads clean...but i wish there was just a way to delete the "questionable" posts...instead of the whole thread...well...then again that would take a whole lot of time...oh well...i dunno...i guess if i can think of a better solution i'll let someone know...lol **please dont be mad at me fdd! i wasnt trying to bitch or anything...i was just wondering why...sorry if i've been a pain in your butt!**

What gives you that impression? They've never closed threads for questioning the rules, just when people get out of hand, and the threads start filling with personal attacks, rule violations, and off-topic nonsense.

Isn't the whole site adult content? I mean I wouldn't show anything on this site to a boss or coworker.

Not that it matters to me either way, it just seems like an oxymoron. :mrgreen:

I see the basic idea behind it. He doesn't want really hardcore shit on this site (porn, gore or any other distasteful content). However, I (and this is just my opinion) think he may have taken that a bit too far by outlawing adult LANGUAGE. Words really can't hurt anything. The member above is right. This site promotes the cultivation of an illegal narcotic. Nobody is gonna want their boss, their teenage child or their co-workers to see this site at all. So adult language won't make a difference... BUT... nasty pictures or links could be a bad thing.

There will be some members here who would be offended by that sort of thing (despite the fact that they discuss the cultivation of an illegal narcotic). This would possibly cause some people to go away never to return. So yeah, I see a good reason to outlaw those kinds of things... but adult language is something that should be allowed. For one, the simple discussion of growing an illegal substance is rather explicit in itself. For two, we are adults... and as adults, we have the right to use ADULT language.

Thats just how the world works... and thats why its called "adult" language. That rule is barely enforced here. I see posts ALL OVER THE PLACE on this site which are never edited/deleted which contain the "F" word and other nasty words. Why? Because even the moderators don't feel that its a very fair rule. It kinda makes a lot of us feel like we're someone's child being told that we had better watch our mouths. It makes me not want to even go INTO the sexual discussion forum because a thread I participate in may end up being closed... or a post I make may be removed.

Some members have come into this thread and kinda made it seem as though this isn't a big deal and doesn't even deserve a discussion regarding it... but I guarantee that the majority will agree with me here. I'd be willing to bet that if a poll were to be made for this, people would vote in FAVOR of the right to use adult language... but alas... that probably wouldn't do any good. The admin is the boss and thats just how it is. This is HIS house and he can make up whatever rules he wants.

if people start acting a fool and being senselessly vulgar, stupid or immature trying to offend people with vulgarity and it happens in a great number of posts then yeh it should be closed but trying 2 censor "sex words" so to speak from the sexuality, philosophy and whatever part of the forum is an oxymoron and just a waste of time in itself your basically hanging a crack rock with nothing stopping the fiend to get it in front of him but if he does go for it he'll be electrocuted

let people do but people who are stupid or are just being senselessly vulgar should go
