That is roughly where my thoughts had left me, so the cloning of clones 4-5 times does sound like a reasonable exchange for someone who doesnt have the space or time for a mother...

are you taking clones from mothers? or are you cloning the actual plants in rotation... im curious as to if i can basically clown a set of plants i have before i set them in my bloom box, and instead of starting a new batch from seed, i just use those clones, and continue the process... no mother involved what so ever.
yield is the same, heavy hard nuggets, potency is the same, effect is the same, flavor and taste are the same. flower time is the same, has never changed. it probably helps that the mothers i keep are the ones that are the easiest to manage with the highest yields and greatest effect. all of my strains can take 1500-2000ppms after established with no problems at all.
mmmk, any insight into a motherless clone system? i simply dont have the space to keep a seperate mother clone and keep her as healthy as she deserves, i will in the future(hopefully) but rite now im concidering cloning Each crop before i put it into budding so i dont have to deal with seads or male/female. the question in hand is the quality of the product.
i actually have better results cloning branches from plants that are going into flower than i do with moms. mothers can be an issue of their own, esp after months of sitting in one pot. both of mine are several years old, and need to be re-potted badly, or root pruned with fresh soil. an unhappy mother will make for clones that take longer to 'take off'. if you use moms, take care of them like they're getting ready to flower, so cuttings are prime.
