spray inside of jars just lightly till it all evaps then lift... clear stale air out from inside jar... spray inside of jars... repeat for about 1 week till they can hold their own...

Mike: it'll probably work fine if you vent them enough and don't let them dry out. I'm just paranoid about working around glass. That's why I don't use mirrors for reflectors anymore.

For about $7 you can get a black plastic starter tray and a clear plastic humidity dome with adjustable vents on top. That's what I use and it just seems safer, simpler and easier to me. But you have shown that where there's a will there's a way. After all, necessity is the mother of invention. Please keep us posted on their progress. HSA

I don't like glass either but its all i had to work with and it will work OK from what you all have said. Those clones are 2 days old now as I cut them yesterday from the 1 week flowering Bubblicious mother.

I always hate humidity domes or things like this as the plants have to be easily removed from the humidity domes or they will have shock and die. there is no need for humidity domes as I use none on my aero cloner and have 100% success.

This is good for you, but alas the general rule is that humidity domes are required for cloning. You are lucky in your situation but importunately most can't get away with it.

I have had no luck with clones unless the dome is used and so far its been 100% success for me. This go around I am cloning in the dwc not peat pods as I have before. This image is of the flowering mother that the clones came from. She is the larger plant.
She was taken from a flowering plant at 8 weeks flowering. Had a rough go with her but she managed to kick back long enough to get clones from her as well as let her flower out for some good smoke 7 weeks from now. The other plants are seed plants unknown strains but I did take 2 clones from each just in case they are good smoke I want to keep going.

I kind of agree over the years I stopped using the dome just out of pure laziness and I was still getting the same ratio I would get with a dome.
How do you do your clones in dwc? or do you start them another way without the dome? I would love to feel safe in taking the masson jars off.

Just dome & tray along with rapid rooter plugs. I have done it both ways with success and I grow in Phoenix AZ. Do what works for you man if you get good success with mason jars or a dome then keep doing it that way. You think not using a dome is weird I seen guys who are super cheap and dont even use clone powder/gel just water and a plug and they get 100% success.

if you are aero cloning the dome is not necessary plain and simple it will be an obstruction. first of all a cutting should already be weathered. meaning its is use to the air so a sudden change of humidity is not always good. i tend to not use the dome when i root in rock-wool if the clones came off a strong plant and are a good cut it will survive. but if im doing seedlings i say the dome is a must. its just a preference i have a less than 20% humidity area right now and both my seedling and clones are thriving without a dome. as far as cloning any other way i dont recommend it. rockwool and aero cloning are the most efficient way... next to sticking it in some dirt or plain glass of water.

Yes I know... it's sad posters with 11k+ post still are blind.
If my clones die without a dome to maintain a correct humidity level, then a dome is required, or an alternative manner to maintain the humidity, please explain wyhere the blindness comes into play :D But right, i don't need a dome and dead clones are just dandy. lol. You seem to think that everyone lives in the same climate and that we all have identical grow setups :D

We used to just let the cuttings sit in a glass of water.
I know I have seen some serious green Thumbs do amazing things. Do you guys clone with any special techniques?? I clone from lower branches, cut at angle, into cup of clean water with a couple drops of H202 to kill any diseases and then dip into Clonex and finally into rapid rooter plug. I should just build my own aero cloner..
