I went out and spent like 80 bux on a cloning tray , dome, heat pad, thermostat, rockwool even though I had the cloner pictured above. that shit sits in my closet now. aero cloning is the only way.

So yet another grower that doesn't understand that not every grow is the same. Good work!

It's like saying why the hell do you all bother with adding nutrients when you water your plants...
Well you said it was "required for cloning" yet you state "everyone is dfferent"?! Which is it? If something is "required" then everyone would have to use it, if some people do and some people don't then it really is not required.

Not saying you're wrong and don't understand all the hostility but brother if you need it use it. I don't and if my clones want moisture and water then they better grow roots! Which is what they do 100% of the time so far, knock on wood.

No, what you will find i said was that it was anh individual basis and that in my case it is required ;)

By all means supply me with a quote where i say it is required for everyone

Good try :p

Thats a cool DIY box. I have some 5 Gallon Igloo sport coolers I should convert. Do you use cloning solution in the res? The hydro stores sell home made Aero Cloners but the tote version for like 200 bucks ...NIce box the beaver knows Box.

Mike: it'll probably work fine if you vent them enough and don't let them dry out. I'm just paranoid about working around glass. That's why I don't use mirrors for reflectors anymore.
Dont give in to paranoia, arm youself with the facts!

Firstly, Mirrors and glass are not the same thing. Secondly, Your reflector has glass, the bulb. Thirdly, many aircooled reflectors use glass with nothing to be paranoid about.

Mirrors are not so good, neither are glass lenses. The bottom of some jars can act as a lense but I think those Mason jars are ok.

i dont use a dome for my bubble cloner. but do on my plastic cloning tray. never really use it tho since ive started cloning with the bubbles instead of rapid rooters.

Thanks.I wanna build a bigger one but I'm having a hard time selecting a cooler. I got about fidy bux into that one, it serves its purpose well, its been 100 percent too except for when I let it go dry once :/
Plus I had a couple northern lights fail, those must be a hard strain to root.
And yassir, I use clonex liquid at about 1500 ppm.

That is exactly what you should do hunter of the beaver.
i did and got bangin results compared to rapid rooters and the sort. home made cloners are the way to go. unless ur not very handy. then go buy one. dont need u cutting ur finger off with a hole saw now. lol.

do you depend on bubbles alone ? I have a water pump and misters spraying directly on the cuts. I also pump a large amount of air in. There's been a time or two I unplugged the pump and forgot to turn it back on and the cuts wilted so bad they looked dead. relying only on bubble you haven't seen that wilt?

no i use kln rooting concentrate. a couple squirts of some bene bacteria and xnutrients cloning gel on the cuttings themselves. speeds things up a bit. altho ive used nothing but water before and they rooted. just took a lot longer. pretty bangin results so far with the homemade cloner.

i dont mist or anything. just cut dip in gel and shove it in a plug. besides the orca and kln in the water, nothing else.

yeah if i turn the air pump off they will start to wilt a bit in a day or so. but they are normally a little wilted by the end anyways before i pot them. plus in cali i have 40% humidity constantly which helps.

Some strains are just hard to clone.. OG strains have been the hardest for me.
