So I have learned a few things about this strain (C99), since Im growing it 3 different ways.
Slow growing the first week or two.
Ive noticed that they do not like alot of water, and actually looks better when the pot has been left on the drier side, just never let it go completely bone dry.
Also topping is very beneficial to this plant - I don't know if that goes for all mj.
Feed small amounts of epsom salts early in veg to keep them leaves green. (I have also fed very small amounts on food too, so far I'd say I've used maybe 8tbsp total to this day, we will see now how much during flower.)
No smell at all so far! Rubbing the stems is a different story, but for the most part you cannot smell them at all, then again flower may be a different story too, but ive heard still a very low odor.
Thats all I can think of now, but stay tuned as I'm always posting updates to the grow for all you C99 fans :weed:
n Happy Mothers Day to all the Tokin' Mothers!

Why do all the ceed companies say 52 days then? I planned on going a bit more than 52, but so far everyone Ive talked to says atleast 3 months flower? Thats a long time to flower isnt it?
I think you also said you were growing bag ceeds and combating bugs. I havnt really been through hard times growing these plants, everyone is growing like they should. Thanks.

Basically, the 52 days thing is under optimum conditions, with co2 etc etc.

CFL's will take a week maybe 2 weeks longer than HID lighting due to their lesser output. C99 is a fast finishing strain yes but you will be hard pushed to find the optimum conditions. Your best bet is to go via trichomes, mostly clear trichomes = not ripe, mostly cloudy trichs = ripe, mostly amber trichs = over ripe.

Thanks, that will be my final indicator to harvest.

yea bagseed this time around. but my bugs were spider mites and they happened rite at the start! and im about 100% sure they were in the soil that i bought-happy frog, cause all my shit was brand new to start with and a clean room. and you definately want to harvest by the trchomes versus what the seed company states

Fox farm has good soil but the people who are contracted to ship and store their soil do so with it stored out side and the bags get full of bugs and shit. One year it was stored by a dump or something and had some really bad bug issues. Sometimes fox farm will give out a drench for the soil if they actually admit they have a problem. Good luck, Good grow, Be safe, :peace:

My PH still has never dropped, it sits at 6.8 - 6.9. I thought adding nutes and egg shells sitting in water from like more than a year ago would lower it? Im trying to avoid buying the ph up/down kits, and ideas or should I not worry about it? Thanks
