Hello, I plan on posting updates to my C99 grow in hopes of some good advice and growing help. I am not new to growing I have grown a couple plants before, but would love feedback as I continue to keep you guys posted.

Here is my setup: Closet
2 200w CFL bulbs - one day light, one soft light.
Soil contains top soil, perlite, petemoss, and worm castings.
Nutrients being used are Expert Gardener All Purpose Water Soluble Plant Food (15-30-15)
Rain water and ph 6.8 tap water.

I have 1 Cinderella ceed germinated in a wet paper towel, and the soil mixture is complete.
I will transfer the ceed from the paper towel to the soil next morning, and have the lights set on 18/6 schedule.

Here are some pictures:

My PH is around 6.8 - 6.9, what is an easy way to lower that? I figured rain water would do it but it isnt, Ive heard lime juice, would mixing it lightly with some water lower my PH more to the acidic side or is that dangerous? Any other method besides buying PH up or down kits?

Im trying to get the soil ready to feed her nutes, aiming for around 6.5

yeah lemon or lime juice will work, if your mixing 1l or less be cautious as its quiet effective, iv got ph down but find it far too powerful for my needs atm.

I have added this mornings coffee grounds to a soil mixture to top off the cup the seedling is in. I then checked it with my ph soil meter and hour or so later and still didnt go down, still sitting at around 6.8 - 6.9.

are you sure your ph meter is calibrated? Probes generally dont give the most accurate readings.. I got a 15$ pH probe from a local store and it didnt change from 7 at all (like what yours seems to be doing). I purchased a Hanna meter from amazon for 170$ and thats not calibrating properly so now im getting a replacement. Dont over do your pH too much up or down or theres a good chances youll shock her

Thanks for the reply, well I stuck it into some coffee ground mixed with some orange juice and it instantly jumps down to 6.5 from 7 so, must be working, I can see the needle move when I stick it in the soil also, very slightly down to 6.8 - 6.9. May just go and buy some ph down, but I think Im going to also try some distilled white vinegar mildly in some water as ive read thats a good method too. Once I start adding nutes that may lower the ph level as well, so we will see, thanks.

I have the room and can buy some more lights would it be wise to sprout another C99 and put them both into flower around May 1st? I wanted to veg the first plant for two months, but now I wanna grow another one as well, but will only veg it for a month and some days if I germinate it now. Does that sound ok?

Day 24 - Them internodes really took off, wondering how long before I can top again? I think about a week, but I also transplanted it so I dont want to cause too much stress at once, I'll wait a few more days before another topping.

Also started feeding mild nutes a couple days ago. Need to buy more soil to top off the pot I know .. ran out :/ I could also just put a couple inch layer of pete moss (peatmoss?) too.

Tied her down flat and stuck the lights right on top, still feeding mild nutes, plan on making it more potent, also due for another topping in another day or two.

Day 29 from ceed and looking mighty fine!

Tied down and added 2 more bulbs same as the original post, daylight and another soft light.

Got too close to the light one day and burnt the leaf tips, about 4 of them, no biggie though.

Here is another C99 started about 4 days ago. Plan on letting this one grow normally to see how big they get.
