Cinderella 88 goes Commercial ?????

I've never grown one to find out, but I have heard of a few 100% sativas that are supposed to finish that fast. Here's the info on one of them. How reliable it is I cannot swear. But I have read of maybe 4 to 6 allegedly 100% sativa strains that will finish in about that time period or slightly less.

Bambata

Variety developed from a strain from south-west Africa.

Strain: Bambata
Breeder: Tiki Seedbank
Location: indoor, outdoor
Type: sativa
Flowering: ~58 days
No feminized seeds.

Exclusively Sativa, it nevertheless shows a fast flowering time and a size adapted to indoor growing. As its name meaning "Enormous" says, it grows colas of an uncommon size for sativas.

Its heavy cristals and its development make it a beautiful and very fragrant plant, with an unmistakable spicy flavour. It does very well outdoor under our northen European latitudes.

100% Sativa / Indoor 55-60 days / Outdoor mid october. Height 100-120 cm.

You didn't get that from a source that stands to make money by chance?

durban poison is an african landrace SATIVA that flowers in 8 to 9 weeks. true fact
Yeah, I forgot about that one. If you want to get the skinny on varieties from different countries, get Mel Frank's book "MJ Insider Growers Guide". He describes by country strains and their properties.

I have pure sativas and they ALL have the same phenotype - skinny stems, airy colas, light trichome field with trichomes that are hard to see with the naked eye, very long flowering times, cerebral highs. In my collection is Dalat Vietnamese, Zamal, and O. Haze. Guess I could throw in some Mexican too. The Zamal came from Africa long ago and was gifted to me by Gypsy who got it from a breeder who lived on La Reunion, an island near Madagascar.

Isn't that really the thing that brings us here (the majority of us anyway) the pursuit of truth rather than propaganda?

Sadly even these venues are often dominated by relatively few prolifically opinionated individuals that find it necessary to condescend in order to feed their narcissistic egos.

Its a little disappointing that someone can pose a question or speculation (in an advanced cultivation forum none the less) and be harshly met with the same tired "conventional wisdom" that has been blindly regurgitated (and asserted as fact, likely by people that have never challenged it themselves) so many times that barely deserves mentioning anyway..

Anyone notice that we are often at a conspicuous lack of statements like "In my personal experience" "from my research" "I'd speculate based on" or anything else that would indicate either intelligence or first hand understandings...

Why don't we productively work together to advance current understandings, both on the individual level and as a community on the whole? (rather than being unproductively critical).

Damn dude. I don't know you, but holy shit, who or what decided you were one of the lucky few to possess such genuine genetics. GOOD KARMA I GUESS. I given out so many seeds in the past. Not trade but give.
I got Cindy on the way from FemaleSeeds, but man, that does not compare to your source. Even if it was just a tester.
What are the chances of 88 going to the masses???????? Real good in my mind !
That Princess is strong from what I read. Would love love LOVE to have it!

KUDOS TO YOU MAN. I AM SUPER FUCKING JEALOUS. Thanks bruh !!
Cindy is fine but it's not the Holy Grail as the Bros hawked it to be, neither is Haze. Lots of ppl would disagree vs agree.
The names are legends now, nothing more. So are Harley's since each Harley is not/won't be a classic. Buying seeds is not like buying a Harley. You have no idea of what you're getting, the background, etc. True that, but not in this case and many others.
In on dis ish.

Gotta see this.
Thanks for dropping in and Welcome aboard ! lol

Very well "spoken" my friend !

Now that we have established how ppl feel about Cinderella 99, 88, 75, 50 and even Princess, SHUT THE FUCK UP AND WATCH THE SHOW !!!

If she isn't your cup of tea, so-the-fuck-what !
Chill, watch, pass through and ask questions OR keep it movin' !!!

Guile, send me a pm with a safe addy.
I think I have something for you.

soul got it out of a 2 gram bag of JH he bought but i don't believe there was JH in that package regardless of what was on the label. i think the coffeeshop, like many other dealers around. put whatever name
on the packages the public wants to hear. there is NO way IMHO that a cross pollination with any unknown father plant could bring a JH flowering time down to 49 days. the fact that there were other females
out of the same seed batch that had the same flowering time shows it was not and freak. i worked with sensi's JH for several years, so i speak from first hand experience. Cindy is not even close the JH in flowering time or any other JH traits. i've been breeding for years and i have NEVER known a plants flowering time to be brought down that much with one crossing.

IMHO soul stumbled across a gem in the rough and was bright enough to know what he had and was expereinced enough to know what had to be done to it to bring it's full potential out. since i've never seen anything that even resembles cindy on the market i'd say even the person who grew the bud out didn't realize what he had.

I dunno what's so short about the 49 day flowering time. Sensi Seeds says Jack herer is a 50 to 70 day flowering time: http://sensiseeds.com/cannabis-seeds/sensi-seeds/jack-herer

I harvested Jack a couple weeks ago at 50 days, and it was pretty ripe:

so your gonna cross the 2 princesses ???
No doubt.
Gotta make F3's to play with of course.
NL#5, true NL#5 is not a prob with me ! lol

I have some 1989 SKUNK I will use when I find the pheno I want to stabilize.
C88 F2 x 1989 Skunk/C88 brother = C88 50%
C88 F2 x C88 50% = C88 75%
C88 F2 x C88 75% = C88 88% (funny...lol)
C88 F2 x C88 88% = C88 94%
C88 F2 x C88 94% = C88 97% aka Stabilized C88

Words from Mr Soul :

I smoked C-88 one eve after trying Silver Haze and the C-88 buzz cut RIGHT THROUGH the high of the Haze so badly that my wife asked me, “what did you do?… smoke too much?” The flavour is just like the scent; fruity and sweet…not at all hashy (not that there’s anything WRONG with that!…heehee.
Outdoors, Apollo 13 and Cinderella 88 will finish before October 15th at 43 degrees north lattitude.
If you liked NL#5/Haze, you’ll like C-99 too. It’s got a sweet, fruity taste and some of that “paranoia inducing” effect, very cerebral and speedy. The major advantages of C-99 over the old Haze x NL#5 from the original Seed Bank are rapid maturation and bigger yield. The highs and flavours are “different” but in the same class.

P.88 = Renamed Cinderella 88 when first released on the market. It grows fast and produces excellent yields of FROSTY buds in 7 weeks! Generally uniform seedlings with minor differences in floral formation and some height variance, but the smoke is quite consistent from all plants – Dense, heavy nuggets of fruity scented & flavored (like wild berries) and covered in resin glands, the dried buds have distinctly ORANGE pistils.

I have never run a breeding program (yet) but I have split a few beans so far and its my experience that if you hatch enough seeds there is almost always a pleasant surprise of some sort to be found..

I was lucky enough to get a Light of Jah cutting the ripens in 8 weeks given to me by a local cultivator/breeder. (I do a little clone swapping with the locals)

In my aria there is a particularly sought after "Wappa #4" that smells/tastes of grapes and pine, it offers a well round up beat buzz that is both high functioning and fun with a notable lack of the munchies best part is that its a huge yeilder SOG too (unlike anything else I've personally seen). It only took 2 packages of seeds to find her.. Though she was almost lost, looking too sativa influenced (narrow leaves and long node spacing) for the pure indica it was supposed to be I didn't plan on preserving her until despite her ridicules stretch (easily 4x) she really packed on the weight. I flower twice as much of her as anything else in my garden now and she still consistently runs out first.

Just a random freak (or special surprise) that may have never been found (or taken years to) if I hatched my seeds one at a time like many people do..

do you want to know how to keep the flowering times down and set stability for it kinda how cindy99 was??? ;)

Try this... ;)

first you will have to first get your hands on two F1's of the progeny/offspring between two of these shiva skunks both male and female

{{shiva skunk itself which im sure you know comes from the combination of (NL#5 x Skunk#1) = {NL#5 which is produced from both afgani's #5 fem +#2 afgani male pheno)}

then x {Skunk#1=( 2 columbian #1 short pheno sativas #1 male x #1 fem that makes your (F1 columbian #1 fem) then x backcrossed to the same afgani #2 male pheno afgani pollen that made the NL)}}...

then cross the other F1 of the two shiva skunks's progeny from above...

with a specific 3rd cross of this specific jack blend {{jack herer which will be the haze x NL#5 x shiva skunk)

which will come from a F1 Male progeny/offspring of both those columbian sativas #1 (shorter pheno) that made the skunk#1) plus a x of (a thai sativa #4 female (long cola pheno (ones that run about a meter long ;) )

then take the Male (haze) which is what comes from the cross of those colombian+thai sativas...

then take a NL#5 afgani female then backcross it to the other shiva skunk Male pollen from the first shiva skunk to get a female progeny out of it... (NL#5 x shiva skunk) female

then pollenate that combo with the Male haze to that specific (NL#5 x shiva skunk) female...

that gets you the special jack herer "princess" for the mix...

and since the naming of genetics has been along the lines of "disney" princesses...

and since the original "the emperor wears no clothes" goes along with jack herer lol

and the original was published around the same time along with original "little mermaid" from hans christian anderson then i think ill call her...

Ariel haha LOL jk ;)

Thanks for making my case, but.....

You're speaking out of turn. BT and I go wayyyy back which not only includes posting at the first large cannabis forums like OG and CW, now defunct, but in emails. BT knows me as a pursuer of truth, and he knows that I always take the position that if a vendor stands to make money from a sale, that I give no credibility to what they have to say as it often is nothing more than propaganda. They have an agenda. I only listen to non-partisan verse such as Mel Frank.

I asked a simple question, what is the source for that strain description? If I had to guess, it's just another seedbank info-commercial. EDIT - Never mind, if it was a snake it would have bit me. BT posted the source and I glossed over it. Having no first hand experience, BT also posted a disclaimer. Tiki Seedbank.

It'll be a cold day in hell when a "100% sativa" finishes in 55 days at a height of only 39"! Hah! And of course it does well outdoors "under our northern European latitudes".

Also, this isn't "Advanced". If you look at the subject headers of the never ending redundant discussions, it more like a baby sitting class.
