Stop goofing around. Grab timber's dual CXB3590s @ 100 true watts for $235. Meanwell drivers, dimmer, 5 year warranty and incredible support.

http://timbergrowlights.com/100-watt-cree-cxb3590-2-cob-grow-light-kit/ Hit @RainDan.
ooh I didn't know they added a two COB kit to their lineup.
your SO RIGHT,, and 235 isnt bad at all,, and a light that will last a lifetime, grow after grow after grow,, a blurple china light cant touch a cob panel
Yes indeed, a nice edition to the timber line. OP there's scaling there too. you could grab another kit later. Here's a hard truth about Chinese led, there's a high probability something will fail within three years, be it a driver, a burned lens, failed chip, etc. My prev Mars II 1200 had six lenses burn to black with eight months of mixed use.
You can search for the Timber Kits thread to see many frame builds. Mine's in there with two 225w kits mounted. :)
I just checked Northern Grow Lights, out of stock on photons. The moral of the story is, there are now $225 options that excel, and will last.

Okay OP tons of advice, tell us what you do..

Neither did I until a few days ago. I've been thinking about supplementing with a few 3k for bloom and moseyed on over to the timber site to see what was popping and bang, a little two banger kit had been added since my last visit.

Many people will tell you to go the COB route and if your good with soldering and electronics then by all means give it hell. I don't have the know how to build a kit or get the wattage i want for the money so i havent

I can tell you this.. I got a mars 300 (79$ on amazon right now) it came in 4 days ago. I love it.

Spending 150$ max... to keep things simple and ready to go out of the box... I would buy two mars 300's.

with two mars 300's you could flower a 3 x 3 area.

Wanna talk about a cheap setup... I now use a 180 watt ufo led (brand is ocean revive) and then a mars 300.

I was only using the cheap 180 watt ufo and some cfls and I could get a consistent 2 oz dry off 1 plant.

now with the 180 ufo and mars 300 both running I can do 2 good plants.. "good" meaning 2 plants that finish around 3 feet tall and yield me 4-5 oz dry.

I was looking at those vipaspectra lights and they looked cool.. I think VS 300 watt is an actual 10 watts more then the mars 300 as well. I just knew mars has a good following so i went that route.

Cheers and at the end of the day.. the best thing you can do for yourself is whatever the fuck you personally wanna do.

here is what my setup looks like.

BTW.. my area is similar to yours... my dimensions are 4 feet wide x 2 feet deep x 7 feet tall

It'll veg nicely and grow some quality buds in the 1 x 1 ish sweet spot. the 600 would expand that, so would multiple smaller units. two of their $99 300s would be great for vegging and quality budding. simply need more real usable watts for buds of legend

Just to clarify, nobody said anything about soldering and/or being good with electronics. The COB kits now are pre-wired, soldered, etc. You just mount and plug them in. I think there is certainly a place for panels, I started with dual 300W vipars, then dual 450W vipars, and now a 300W COB cree kit. I'm horrible with electronics but when I opened my 300W kit I laughed at myself for being even the slightest bit intimidated by it. A 2 year old could do it assuming they aren't color blind (everything is color coded).

Hahaha, thanks for the laugh. maybe I could do it then. I am very not knowledgeable one bit what so ever on the COB. I need to do some reading about it.

From my reading COB's are great if you have the know how to build your mount and what not. For just a pre-fabbed panel which of the ones he linked would you pick? I've had enough of the "build your own" not everyone wants to do that.

I have a nice set up to put everything in. it is well controlled but I was hoping to not have to deal with a big exhaust fan I would be interested in the 600. I am looking for big dense buds. I have all my training down well so I have a good idea what I am doing with the plant. I would like to see at least 4 zips from one dwc grow
