I think that Palin was the worst, most patronizing choice they could have made. If gender was important, they could have gone with Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison, Sen. Olympia Snow, Sen. Liddy Dole, even Condi (although picking a running mate who was female, black, and gay would have been a bit of a stretch). Intelligent, capable women all. Instead they chose the political equivalent of Miss Teen South Carolina.
The message? "Hey, she might want to outlaw abortion, even in cases or rape or incest, ban books from the local library, abuse her power to hire her high school friends and fire her enemies, but GALS! SHE'S JUST LIKE YOU! SHE HAS A VAGINA!"

I'm watching CNN..they said she spent $22,000 + just on makeup artist... The Republican insiders are also saying she's not even talking about what she's supposed to, but just jockying her position for a later date & time.... * et tu Brutus*.... she's got the knife in McCains back.... soon the twist will come..

The only visible difference between a palin rally and those terrorists that you see screaming in the streets is that the women aren't doing that tongue scream thing and they're not wearing burka's... the hate toward an American is the same.. I said essentially the same thing above in a couple of my posts.... but some seem hell bent on pushing this non-issue.
I say if we are going to throw her under the bus lets at least do it over something relevant.... like her cluelessness about the Bush doctrine or the fact that she considers herself experienced in foreign policy because she can see Russia from her backyard
