Hey buddy, I know for a fact amazon has it, got some today. I Dont know why I got really because I've never had a need for it. Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it, I guess. Do you know you need it? Quickly?

Breer Rabbit Black Strap Molassas has Ca and Mg in it....
Be nice if it was in higher concentrations.

Cal for what? Plant needs or pH buffer?

Crushed egg shells
crushed Tums - not the best solution but works in an emergency at least the roots will be minty fresh
Oyster shell (powdered)
Dolomite lime will cover both Ca and Mag
Calcite lime

For mag
Epsom (don't mix into soil directly - use in water)
Old style match heads
Dolomite lime
Horse feed - careful here as your going to get a lot of N from that!

Not that I mix it into my soil....I sprinkle a tbs below my root ball before transplant....but why do you say that about epsom salt?

Thanks for the help guys. I figured out I had rust fungus and fixed it by removing the affected leaves and spraying with some fungicide. Looking green and healthy now and flowers are getting more light. Though I should have acted faster as it spread over a couple days and I had to remove a decent amount of leaves. I'm growing dwarf low flyers.

it breaks down and washes away fast, good for a quick fix/foliar but when watering soil it will wash it out. at least thats what I read on the internet! ;)

Hmmmm prob so yeah....I guess I dont think about that much since my native soil is clay. It holds all the fert inside the hole pretty well. 20160525_102352.jpg

as soon as it comes into contact with water it starts breaking down...they should have never put "salts" in its name either :D

It's never a good idea to mix it directly into soils. "I" sure wouldn't do it your way. Hot spots and those contain "salts" that can harm at those levels.. For what I think your looking to do with what your doing.....Simply add a kelp extract to your feeding program.

Mix your soil and when you do that first watering to get it cooking nice - use it in the water.
That brings up another point though!
If you use Dolomite. You have added more then enough Mg to your soil!
Many things you build your soils with OR have in pre built soils. Contain plenty of Mg. The only "true" soil I amended with Dolo is FFOF as it needs more Ca and mg for longer availability...

The best way to use Epsom is by foliar in emergency needs! I use it to make a terp and trich enhancer kinda like Botanicares "Sweet Raw".....Works great!

Well we will just agree to disagree on that point. Been doing it for years and I pull a healthy hearty 2 lbs min off of a plant in around 40-50 gallons of soil. This yr I bumped it up to 200 gallons with 100% organic and the growth is off the hook. But to each their own.
