Cann's Organic No-Till Garden

I gather dry ice hash is made by shaking dry ice and trim together and filtering thru a bubble bags type micron screen. I understand that pure product can be had but to not overdo the shaking and green up the extract.

I personally go to the trouble to make Ice Water Extract with RO water and Ice and yes its a lot of work. I however have been honing in my process and can do a run in half the time it used to take. The purity and terpene preservation are amazing. Some strains work much better than others if a dabbable concentrate is desired. I like to grow and extract varieties in the chem dawg lineage among others. My wife loves the mess it makes as well as the extract. Physical extraction is the only thing I will do to my precious organic gland heads!

Well, I didnt really document the process, but basically, just as Kalyx said, I put my trim/larf into a bucket, throw in a couple pounds of pelleted dry ice, cover with a 160 micron bubble bag and shake away for a few min. If you shake too long, your hash will be green, but hit the golden mark, and well, you get GOLD.

A bit green for me. I can understand the ease of production and low time to medicating tho! Have you ever used the 160 plus more smaller sizes to get a separation of the green and glands. Don't know if it would work like IWE does, but I have heard of people re-sifting kief into grades and stashing the pure and selling the lower grades!

i have a kief box with two different micron screens...160 and 120 I believe. 160 stuff gets sold, 120 stuff is my headstash. the 160 is a bit greener looking than the 120, thats for sure.

where do you get the pelleted dry ice??? and how do you press the hash?

Kaylx is right, a little bit green, but not bad for uncured product.

I've done a couple different sizes.

220, 160 and 70 micron.

And prefer the 160, the 70 looks fire but you get half as much product, and the difference when smoking is negligible.

I press it with a little non stick pad called an "oil slick".

I found the pellets at this place that sells CO2 and other refrigerant like things...

Its called Airgas, mainly commercial kitchens and the like shop there...

They asked me what all the pellets where for once...

"ahhh... Essential oil extraction" I said.

Ah yes, essential oil extraction. Billy- load the man's CO2 up. Chop Chop.

Lol. My buddy goes there all the time to refill his CO2 tanks...

Haven't done a dry ice run in awhile.a giant glass table is nice to have handy if you do. 120 bag is my go to also. just don't shake too long!
