Old post but, I don't think it's so much the smell people care about as having mass people over for sessions, talking loudly outside about herb, slinging and coughing is a big one too. Some people I smoke with have baby lungs and cough for half-an hour after each hit. Shit bugs even me and I'm the one blazin'. Either way, use common sense, have a decent level of privacy respect and enjoy yourself like only Americans can. All in all, keepin it underground has always worked best for me.
