Can someone look over the components for my grow set up?

So yeah, I'm a newbie, and since I can't find a grow cabinet I want at the size I need and the price I can afford, I'm being relegated to a grow tent. I've been doing some research for a few weeks now about various things that are needed for a successful set up and *think* I've come up with a good set up. I was just wondering if someone can tell me if what I have in mind is appropriate, if anything is missing, or if something is overkill. I'll be growing 3 feminized autos. Here goes:

  • VIVOSUN 36"x20"x62" Mylar Hydroponic Grow Tent with Observation Window and Floor Tray for Indoor Plant Growing (chose this because it seemed to have the least light penetration, and the strongest internal support framing and 2-year warranty)
  • VIPARSPECTRA Dimmable Series PAR450 450W LED Grow Light - 3 Dimmers 12-Band Full Spectrum for Indoor Plants Veg/Bloom (chose this because it seems that the amount of light is appropriate for my size set up, the fact that it cools itself, and a 3-year warranty)
  • VIVOSUN - 2 Pairs 1/8 inch Adjustable Heavy Duty Rope Hanger - Reinforced Metal Internal Gears, Loose-proof Design, 8-ft Long & 150lbs Weight Capacity (probably overkill, I know)
  • 15A/1800W 7-Day Programmable Timer Outlet, Plug-in Wall LCD Digital Electrical Timer Switch with 3-prong Outlet, UL Listed (to control the lighting schedule automatically)
  • iPower 6 Inch 442 CFM Duct Inline Fan with 6" Carbon Filter 25 Feet Ducting Combo for Grow Tent Ventilation (seems to be relatively standard grow tent equipment)
  • AcuRite 00613 Humidity Monitor with Indoor Thermometer, Digital Hygrometer and Humidity Gauge Indicator
  • (2) Welltop 5-inch Portable Clip Fan Rotatable Clamp Fans USB or Battery Powered Table Fan Rechargeable Desktop Fan Personal Cooling Fan Clip on Fan Clip (for cooling and air movement)
  • SuperPonics 8 Hydroponic Grow System (comes with Nutrient System, pH Testing Kit, TDS Meter, 1” Rock Wool Starter Plugs and Hydroton Clay Stone Medium)
So, thoughts please?

I'm in no way a pro grower but I suggest you send that PoS light back and get a QB or CoB. They're way more efficient than blurple boards
Thank you! I havent purchased anything yet but the seeds. Thats why I wanted a double-check on the equipment *before* I bought anything. Does that lighting kit come with assembly instructions?? LOL

Well I'm not doubting the viparspectra. But for your money you spend the QBs will blow any panel board out of the water. Just make a post about QBs and get to talking to them about it. Or look up the forum post new to LEDs

Really from my experience, exhaust and circulating fans are essential. And you can get away with a passive intake. Just be sure to always have air swapping out old with fresh unless you're running a closed system and I don't know anything about those.

Again just my experience and I'm a novice grower myself so take with a grain of salt.bongsmilie

Should I consider an intake fan as well? If so, any suggestions?
No. That 6 inch is over kill and passive will work just fine.

I second not getting the viper and getting a cob kit.

Here is a 200 watt Vero kit for 239 bucks.

If you want diodes go with unit farm. I run thier ufo 80 at 175 watts. Has cree and osram diodes.

They have a cheaper kit with bridgelux diodes.

yeah. youre good.. tent is a little small, but u can upgrade to larger one after yur first run in the 36x20. U can get a 3x3 for $75-$90 on amazon. In that size, passive intake is fine. your're exhausting through a 6", its strong as fuck. Fan/Filter combo is perfect, tht's yur best buy.. U need a SPEED Controller, $20 on amazon. The thermostat/humidstat is good idea in theory, but you will find if u use a thermostat on yur 6" fan in a tent that small, it will click on and off every minute which is annoying. Set it on lowest speed and leave it plugged in 24/7, just like yur light. Use yur two desk fans for curculation. in a tent that small, u may only need one desk fan. positon it in the corner near where u open the tent, so it can get air easy. blow across yur canopy, at an angle, from one corner to opposite corner. And just like light and 6" fan, leave the desk fan on 24/7. It will burn out in 1month-6months time, just so u know. :)

about the light, IDK nothing about these new LEDS.. you'll have to refer to others on that. i do know, however, that a single 315 would kill it in a 3x2 tent. Veg 24/7, with whatever light you use. Use the back of yur hand as a tempture gauge..too hot for you, then its too hot for them plants. Hang your light high above the tops for the first few days or week, then lower it a little each day, until light is as low as u can get it without cooking yur plants.
The hydro system you got, im not familair with modern systems, to me it looks like a drip system set in a dwc, or does it have misters, like an aquamist? Unless u know that system very well, it maybe more headache than it's worth at this point. My advice is to keep it as simple as possible the first few times.. either make or purchase a high quality soilless mix (ie: ocean forest), use individual containers (ie: grow bags), and use hydro nutes at a little less than what the bottle says, hand water to point of run-off, run-to-waste.

What light did you end up choosing?
I'll go with that 135 QB LED kit you mentioned - hubby said he'd put it together for me :D

Imo Is very small...it's ok if your'e growing herbs for cooking. Not big enough for 1 let alone two full grown weed plants unless of course you want to grow miniature weed plants.
I'm open to suggestions! I plan on never growing more than 3 at a time, and they will almost always be smaller plants (typically autoflower and less than 4 feet tall TOPS). Bonus for suggesting one that has an included drainage system to make my life easier :) (Just think - I was ACTUALLY going to grow a single plant in my Aerogarden which is way smaller!)

If you have room i'd also consider a larger tent.
As for the grow tent, I've chosen that size only because that's about as big as I can go at this point. If I had a whole room that I could dedicate to this, I'd go bigger, but since I don't it has to go in our bedroom. Also, it's the smallest I *think* I can go that will accommodate the autoflowering plants I'm looking to grow.
