Can a 630 watt CMH match a 1000 watt HPS?

I've got a 4x4 that I've got some super frosty results from with a 630 cmh. I was fortunate enough to have someone who knows share their knowledge of spectrum/results with me so next run I do I'm going to try a
630 cmh veg (4200 Phillips bulbs),
1000w hps Flower (progressively dimmed)
and finish the last couple weeks with the 630 cmh (3100 Phillips bulbs).
I really like the cmh for veg, I can tell the girls love it. The spectrum of the hps should give me a higher yield than the cmh, and finishing with the cmh should help with resin production with the uv.
I guess sometimes it can be more about the spectrum for what you're trying to do than how many watts you're hitting them with. I'm going for the "whole lot of really dank buds" thing.
Ive found a solid choice for getting heavy red mixed wth cmh spectrum is to run Quantum boards along with a 315w cmh and it really helps the leaf to calyx ratio since cmh generally grows a bit leafier bud. As well as helps keep heat down and allows for both lights to run through out flower with excellent quality
