Call yourself out..What was your biggest mistake??

Ok, so I thought it would be fun to admit some of the bone head mistakes all of us have made. Maybe we can avoid making the same ones. I spend hours upon hours researching to avoid mistakes, but as they say, experience is the best teacher.

I'll start-
I have made a few bone head mistakes, but this would be the dumbest. During week two of veg, I mixed H&G magic green in my 50 gal reservior with nutes and fed into my coco. :dunce: It is foiler spray. LOL  I had to flush and fortunatley it just stalled the growth for a few days. I had to scrub my reservoir out. No other problems developed, but damn what a noob mistake. I left this one out of my journal. lol

Ive made two very big mistakes which have made me decide to tear down my hps cab:( First I told people and showed people that have no business know what I do, now one of those people arent on my good side and can use his knowledge to harm me, my career and my position on the hoa board a vp.
Second mistake I made was not making the cab as stealthy as it should of been, the exposure of a semi hid co2 tank and a power wire may have given away the cab to the ex president of the community one day when he caught me off guard with my garage door up. Ive had fun with this hobby but I know I have way too much to lose to continue this current grow. My plants are 11 days into flowering and this appears to be the best grow so far in the last two years and makes me sad thinking about cutting those girls down in the next few days:( lessons learned loose lips sink ships and keep your shit straight secret and stealth take no chances because the haters are there.
Peace

Plus I over-fertilized my plants about 4 weeks ago and killed 3 (stopped growth on the others for about a week) but I flushed them thoroughly and the rest are just fine now!!!! I'm still trying to get the whole 'nutes thing down, lol.

Your not alone, that seems to be one of the most common mistakes on here. I have been using 75% recommended dose just to be safe. :eyesmoke:

Molasses in DWC. Messy, nasty bringer of death. Had to harvest early and every harsh puff was a brutal reminder.

when I got my first cooltube I moved the lights too close to the tops.. 5" or so.. it caused alot of bleaching.

Growing with partners is the biggest mistak I have ever made. The second war going to Fred Meyers at 10:30 at night to get something for spidermites. I bought this stuff that said kills spidermites. It also killed 30 plants. I looked on the side of the bottle and there it was the Dupont Chemical logo

I'm glad I can get this off my chest now, lol, because my entire first grow was a giant uninformed disaster!!! I had a box with five 4' fluorescent tubes in it which was lined with aluminum foil. The thing had no ventilation except a big hole that the power cord was coming out and the room got to about 95 degrees in the summer in the shitty ass house where I lived. My plants were bagseed--about the only thing I did right!--and I (over)watered them with old aquarium water and they sat in miracle grow soil. They got like 1800 lumens per square foot and it took about six months from seedling to harvest. Ten out of 12 of them survived veg and 4 made it to maturity SOMEHOW but I harvested too early. So the buds that were left, the ones who didn't get moldy from my shitty curing that is, looked like shitty kind bud but tasted like hay and failure and broken dreams.

Having said this, I am very glad you can't minus rep people on this site :) oh yes and bless you folks at the riu community who keep people like me from doing this.

This is the part that made me shed a tear because I have been there. You don't want to smoke the asschwag because, well...it tastes like working donkey ass BUT IT IS herb that you grew and makes you feel all good inside, until you start coughing that is.

If people could just know our pain.....:-(

Thanks to #1Raiderfan420 for a humbling thread idea; after I + rep you I will cry myself to sleep for reliving my many grow nightmares.:wall:

Had one of my babies singe her pretty little head on a 400 mh., left for the weekend and did not anticipate 6" of growth. This was 2 weeks into flower. My little burn victim is a trooper, the ganja gods are smiling upon her now!
