Ha ha yep giving your mrs 2k ?! Crackers.

It was root riot cubes I was unimpressed with. I use rockwool plugs. They are the best I've found so far. Wet them. Shake the excess out and your done. Very good. I don't know if they are a nationwide thing so if you needs some PM me and we'll sort something out

i get It mate. Nod nod wink wink. Miccyj has a tremendous area to grow in. I like to stay in the ten plant zone which is classed as personal use but trust me if this stuff is ever legalized I'll be setting up a farm lol. Poly tunnels the lot !!

Hopefully you're right on the moving side of things. My hydro guy had a sample of my last grow which I fucked up. Said if I get a good run I should have outstanding product and he'll have as much as he can so that's a start. I bought a mountain air filter. It's amazing. It's not as we'll known as rhino but it's on a par quality wise. IMO.

So after watching some "expert" info on these autopots I realised I had not Put a layer of rock balls at the bottom of the pot. So I tried to repot One of the plants. This was a disaster. The 60/40 mix does not stay together so don't try this. I called my hydro guy and he said autopots official manual does not call for a layer of rock balls. I was really fucked off now. That poor plant traumatised because some fucktard wants to do a video for YouTube. So I have done my best to nurture the plant but today she looked very droopy. I checked water levels and she was bone dry after 24 hours !! She must have panicked and ate everything she could get. I decided that I was gonna switch the pots on so I soaked each plant with the same nutes I have in the res. these girls have had nutes from day one so there should be a smooth transition onto the 1/4 nutes I mixed for them today. I will post pics later.

Ok, i had an issue with my proxy server so i havent been able to post pics or update as much as id like. Its fixed now so heres an update.

Plants are doing REALLY nicely. the leaves are huge in comparison to anything else i've ever grown. I have one huge plant and 2 equal plants and a runt. im going to spray the runt with "overgrow" until it catches the equal plants then spray the 3 until they match the largest. I am visiting my grow later on so i will take some new pics and post them later on. Sorry for the lack of updates :D

A couple more pics...edit 1.jpg edit 2.jpg

the Plants are 14 days since transplanting from their seedling pots. the auto pot system is now on and over night thye drank 1L of nute mix....nutes are 1/4 strength Ionic coco Grow, and Magnecal . once the tank is empty i will refil with 1/2 strength nutes and add some Liquid karma.

After seeing a bit of tip burn due to a ph f**k up by me I decided to stay at 1/4 strength for another week. Growth is good and I'm noticing the plants are taking between 0.5L -1.5L of nutes over night. The plants are very nice and green and the leaves are huge. So far I'm very impressed by the auto pots. I'll post pics today

The ladies are collectively consuming 2L of nutes per day now. They are hungry girls. The runt has a long way to go to go to catch the largest plant so fingers crossed the overgrow spray does the job. I am really pleased with the autopots performance so far. These R the biggest plants I've grown at this stage. The BUDMASTER is doing great also. The brightness in that tent is phenomenal

image.jpg Looking well. They are the best looking plants I've grown so far. The BUDMASTER batters them with lights and conditions are ideal. The autopots are fantastic. I'll get some more pics on tomorrow but it's really going well. If you have some budget for a new system I'd go with the autopot.system. I'm looking at it for my other room. It's so easy it's unreal. Keep the nutes at 6.2 ph and let it look after itself.

Great work Oilmaker. Looking good! Sorry if I've missed it somewhere, but I've looked up these autopots, and the medium used in the instructional video looks soil-like. Forgive me if this is overly noobish of me, but I have no growing experience yet and I'm hunting around for what I think will be the right setup to aim for (easy to set up, easy to maintain and as idiot-proof as possible, but I desperately want to go hydro and avoid soil, as I'll be in a rented flat and soil creates some additional logistic challenges in a flat of course - hoping to eventually run a 10 plant grow in a 4x8 tent under 2 x LED's). How developed were the roots of your girls before you were able to move them into these pots and the hydrotons? Do the roots need to be right down at the bottom of these pots already when they go in? You mentioned germinating in rock-wool, do those just pop straight into the hydrotons in these autopots and if so, what are you doing your propogating in beforehand? And is that transplanting process straightforward? Again, sorry for not having a clue, just trying to get as much info as poss' in advance to make things as smooth as later on. Have you tried any other premade systems? I was looking at bubble buckets and also something like this style of aeroponics system http://supercloset.com/product/hydro-systems/super-flow-hydroponic-grow-system/
but I think the latter might be a case of trying to run before I can walk! I know the majority in here are strong proponents of DIY, but I tend to be a bit of a spaz when it comes to DIY to put it bluntly (understatement of the year)! Really don't want to flood the neighbours or electrocute meself, if possible! Any and all recommendations welcome! 8-)

The Budmasters look the nuts! I was thinking of perhaps going for the Advanced LED XML350 model to try it out. I think it worked out very slightly cheaper, but still a non-generic, fairly high quality product from what I can tell.

Hi mate,

I'll try and cover as much as possible lol

I germinate seeds in rockwool plugs. I put them in a propogator with T5 flouros on top. It keeps the temp constant and is nice and gentle. Once roots are really growing I transplant into 1L pots with a 60/40 hydroton/coir mix. I then let them fill the pot with roots before transplanting again into 15L pots. Again 60/40 mix.
Now I start withe the nutes (unless they need food before hand). 1/4 for week one. 1/2 for week 2. 3/4 week 3. 1/1 for week four. The roots need to be at the bottom of the pot before you can switch the system on. So I hand watered for the first week in the 15L pots then I switched it on. PH at 6.2 is optimal for my nutes so I keep it at that. All I have to do now is keep the reservoir full and mix the nutes. The autopots do the rest. I use mineral based nutes and florakleen to keep the pipes clean. I've never used bubblers or DWC or hydro because they aren't behinner friendly. I also outgrow a friend of mine who only grows hydro so never felt the need to change. Hope this helps

That's brilliant. Thanks a lot for all the info. I hope the grow continues to run smoothly for you.
