Bubbleponics Discussion Thread

Since Rosey's gone and not wanting to overload his thread, I thought we could use this thread to BS, post pics, ask questions and share our grows.

Also DrDodge29 got bounced for saying "what's up bitches" over on GP and since many of us have formed online friendships I thought starting a new thread would be a good starting point.

Everyone is welcome, yes Major Tom you too :peace:

So HGH, Budman, MC, Dodge, etc, etc what you ya think?

Peace!!!

Works for me. Still can't believe Dr Dodge got booted. Makes me think twice about the site. That's a MJ grow site! Do they think there are 12 year olds on the site. Do they think the med patients have reverted to their childhood! So you're in pain and you just can't take slang words. If they are on the net with that attitude a porn pop-up would probably kill them outright. Very Disappointing. Wonder if Rosey can do anything about it.

MC,

that's why I started this thread as an open, be as you are, Bubbleponics thread.

It's not my thread, it's the groups thread. Just a place to hang, share our grows & have some laughs.

Peace!!

Great idea. Sometimes I need to vent and this really pisses me off. We'll get onto the other stuff soon.

BTW, plants are doing great but I had to back off the high end of the nutes because I was getting a little nute burn on one plant only in the flower room. It's too warm in the veg room and I need to break down and drill a hole and vent to the attics. Right now I put another fan in there, some frozen bottles of water in the res and will figure it out this weekend.

It's amazing how fast the plants will say "hey, back off those nutes!"

I didn't enjoy drill that hole in my floor, but now that it's there, it's a great source for fresh air. I'll probably run an exhaust vent through my roof next winter. This way I'll bring in fresh air and blow everything outside.

peace!!

Dude, this is your thread too!!! I just thought Rosey's thread is his and I didn't want to overload it.

Yep, I drilled a 3" hole in my floor to pull fresh into my 1st cabinet because I was having heat issues with the 105W CFL's. It worked out great since there is a ton of natural C02 in the air.

Peace!!!

I'm more of a ready, aim, fire guy rather than a Fire, Fire, Fire what'd I hit guy. You think a computer fan 105cfm would pull enough air out via the ceiling? I'm running about 82-85 in that rom with the ventilation I now have in place. Fan mounted low to pull in air from the bedroom and one mounted high to push the hot air out. I'm more worried about later (summer) then now. The other solution is to back off from the 105's (total three in the room) to some 42's to reduce the heat build-up. I veg 8-9 weeks so max growth isn't the issue.

I'm using a 105CFM muffin fan pushing air into the tent & a 160CFM 6" inline exhausting. I'm going to get a 250CFM 6" inline for the exhaust & use the 160CFM to bring in the fresh air.

So long story short :bigjoint: the 105CFM is better than nothing, but at HD you can get the 6" inline 250CFM for like 35 to 40 bucks.

Just thinking about the summer.

Thanks Blue. Any opinion on a switch to 42watt cfl in veg to help control the heat? Have to get a decent drill and the 4" hole drill bits are about $35/each. It's only particle board so I might try drilling small holes in the corners and cut it out. Changed some fan around and it dropped it about 3 degrees. That gives me time to figure it out.

The 42W I believe are OK to veg with and they'll help with the heat, of course:mrgreen:

The 105CFM fan will help keep it cooler.

Good luck!!

Hey Bluey,

Please check out my grow when you can. We're just a couple days over a week in and I think there might be some problems with the roots or with mold on the hydroton. The plants themselves are super healthy though. Should we be concerned?

Please take a look, link is below.

The salt on the pebbles is normal, just flush it with some water when you change out the rez.

The RW could be a little lower in the nets. Also try to cover the RW with the pebbles and then try and cover the net with styrofoam or anything that'll block light from getting into the rez.

The plants do look good. Just be easy on the nutes the first couple of weeks.

I'm sure others will give you their advice.

Peace!!

as always bluey good call....the rocks will get the nute residue on them and if the delivery is shifted or it is splashed it dries and voila....

rayfox welcome to the wonderful world of BP and it's benefits....all the best:bigjoint:
