Nope i actually think ur wrong, stealthhydro says the kit comes with..

"Two Rockwool Cubes
Rockwool cubes are the ideal medium for starting seedlings or cuttings."

Its my understanding that you wont be able to start the seeds directly in the bucketeer as it does not have a drip system . Some dwc expert may be able to explain it better or I think I read somewhere that a very powerfull air pump may splash the water onto the hydroton and it will wick into the rockwool

Absolutely Right.

It is possible but very difficult to start a seed or a small germinated sprout in a DWC without a DRIP or Bubbleponic Water Pump and feeder tube.

You can try raising the water level and hope enough bubbles bounce up int eh air and keep the root alive, but it is difficult and alot of work, watering it from above..

no, i cant let ou buy that. the bucket or the lights.

got to home depot. buy a buvket and lid. 3 dollars. The orange ones.

got to eBay. buy some netpots. "netpots". They should run 5 dollars with shipping.

drill a hole in the lid of the bucket. Make it big enough somehow to stick in a netpot. I had to use a kitchen knife in my apt! I have no tools here, lol. It works like a charm.

Go to the fish store. Buy a five watt air pump. 5 WATTS. Buy an airstone. 15 dollars tops! For quality.

Get some hydroton. Get some recycled tire mulch from the back of home depot. I use it all the time. River rocks. Lava rocks are the very best, just make sure never to jostle the bucket! Roots love lava rocks, just have sharp edges.

There you go, for a fraction of the price you get a real bucketeer with a real airpump not the dinky peice of crap they give you that will break anyway and is too small.

Next for the lights. NO WAY! I am a former ozone user. The right kind of ozone is a pain in the ass to have. I had the most minute backdraft ruin two crops because I was so convinced that it could not be enough of a backdraft to effect me. It did. It gets on the leaves. I tried. Carbon is good enough. Even ona is better. But that is the right kind of ozone. IS that electric spark? THat is the WRONG kind altogether. COrona discharge prodices nitric acid as a bproduct. THat will kill your plants for sure. At least use a uv model. That is the plant kind.

CFLS? Not worth it. I am running a 600 watt hps with no hood and just a pipe hanging next to the bulb to pull the heat off. I am doing fine. I have used this light in hoods and coool tubes and closets and tents and even a bathroom. All that matters is that you get hte heat out right. I would take this with a grain as I am a little skilleed and reckless these days. Lol. Look on craigs list or ebay and for one plant get a 250 hps, if you plan to get bigger start with a 400 and if you want to make this your hobb get a tent. 400 for 2-3 trees and a 600 for four. Trees are nice I think if you get it all dialed in right. Real legal, I mean.

I hope I am not stealing all your thunder SH fans. I myself started with their hdro kit. I had great ruslts but it is a rubbermaid for 50 bucks! The pump was to small and it broke fast. Rockwool is not the best for seeds. Rapide rooters are the best for seeds. Just for you I am doing some seeds right now in rockwool and it is a pain like I rmember.

Presoak your seeds in a cup of water overnight. Wait until the taprrot is out. Then using tweezxers put the seeds into a wet rapid rooter and place it into your system with a cup over the top so as moisture and humidt stays inside. No probs ever.

Lights, get hid. Same price, good investment. 250 if you are nerbvous. Hell even a 175 or whatever that next size is hps will do ou better. And you can use a hps all the way thru. I am doing it by choice these days as hps is more lumens. Many folks do it.

As for nutes. Either get the gh three part or the flora nova two part. Fool proof hydro nutes. Ou can use tapwater and let her rip. Or Botanciare. YOu wil get a good size supply that will last forever.

Now I know you will still go buy all the stelath hydro stuff. IT is probably wortth it to you. I hope not the light s tho, lol. But I just felt I had to let you know you could build all that for almost nothing instead of fifty bucks. THis is mostly househld items. And they work just as good. I am doing a roadrunner in an ornage bucket and I just use tapwater and whatever nutes and they love it.

no offense to Stealth hydro representatives. I just think the nweb should know, lol.

the 6 cup tank is ideal for small grows and doing a SOG, or started 12/12 early. I over do it, and do 12/12 for 5 weeks to get much bigger plants.
One plant in each corner works great, the closet walls hold them up.

This is from the end of a closet:

ten days

12 days

15 days

17 days

20 days

Those first 3 weeks is when the feeding tubes really make a difference.

how tall is a plant that has low height? medium? cuz nirvana the seed shop reffers to height with low, medium, and high, so what does that mean, how low is low, inches/feet

I don't know that you can rely on what Nirvanna says about height but a short plant would be perhaps 18 inches, medium 18 - 30 and tall means it will likely be 4 ft.

The MAX that I ever got from one tub in 7 grows was 12 ounces. I average 8 per tub.

NO co2.

I use two 12 inch airstones per tank.
