Bubblegum Auto - Fem Aero / Hydro (1st grow)

Bubblegum Feminized Auto flower - from Marijuana Seeds NL

My first time really attempting a grow with all of the proper equipment and necessary materials needed to pull off a successful operation that yields a decent bud.

Built the light out of a mailbox and two security lamps. Required some metal shears and some rivets, rivet gun, drill and some bolts. All connections properly made using wire caps and ground throughout. If anyone wants information on it they can PM me for the link. basically ~~ 150 watt hps with a separate ballast built for about 100-120 dollars. Works well for my tent grow because i can keep heat source outside of plant environment.

DIY aeroponic sprayer system for delivery of nutes to the root system . plants suspended in 3in net pots in rubbermaid tote. return pump in plant res to send unused nute water back to the main reservoir (circulation). also airstone in plant reservoir as well for good oxygenation.

main res
larger pump approx 450 gph. connected to a NFT timer that turns sprayer on for 1 minutes off for 4. allows root system large amount of oxygenation which will aid in nute uptake.

ph at 5.9-6.1 ...... TDS~~ 200ppm... ( my tap water is decent with a ph of 7.0 and a base ppm out the spout aat 150. so my calculation says 350 on the meter - 150 (base ) == 200 ppm (actual nute mix)


using lucas formula for GH nute trio.

got one seed in popped and sprouting in rockwool cube.. pics attached... other is in cup of water wait to pop, dropping in the cube tomorrow.

temps at 77-85 degrees... with a relative humidity of 53-59%

have a inline fan , fan controller and carbon scrubber in route... should be here by end of week ... that will be necessary to exhaust the hot air and create negative tent pressure which will make the tent pull more cool air in from bottom intake flap. ...

tent is approx 2'w x 4'L x 6'H

Hey RIU. Got my air scrubber and inline blower in today.. just finished setting up... .surprisingly the 190cfm on full speed is not even that loud... and it still moves alot of air. installed 2nd hps light bulb and have both running now. .... both seeds have popped and sprouted. the older plant is 4 days old and the other is only 2 days old. the older girl is showing roots coming out of the net pot already.... both girls look great and havent shown any sign of distress due to the 200ppm of nute mix running through the system since monday.

added a couple tsps of H2O2 on wednesday just to keep any malicious res bacteria at bay. have been adding one or 2 frozen water bottle to the reservoir on occasion to bring temps down to about 68-70,,, ive found that preventing stuff before it occurs is the name of the game in this craft.

inline fan exhausts into upper closet above door... oscillating fan close to entrance to room to keep fresher air moving towards the intake flaps on tent.

resetting thermometer/hygro max/min settings in order to accurately judge how well the inline fan will perform regarding interiors temps when running both lights. ...


pics attatched .... they look pretty good for 4 days / 2days i think... but it has been a while since i have done this.. sorry quality is poor due to the interference from hps... will try better pictures next week .. .

update... day 12 for the one on the left and day 10 for the other ... ..

keeping pH at 5.9.... added some nutes and water to top off reservoir today.. upped to about 500ppm or so. .. that was this morning and i got home from work and the plants look to have responded well. ( see pictures ).

plants seemed to get a lil stretchy and top heavy bout 5 days ago, for this reason i turned the oscillating fan in tent up one level in order to create more air movement in hopes of stimulating strengthening of the trunk.

otherwise... all is good.. I was thinking about ordering a bottle of CALMAG off the interweb,, seems to come pretty highly recommmended and widely used. ..... good decisions? From what i understand i know the Lucas formula can be enough, but i have also read that some additiontal supplements are occasionally required depending on the strain ....

well thats all for now, ,, plants are progressing well .. but seem a little bit behind for almost two weeks... maybe its just me though.. it has been a long time since my last grow attempt.

update.... day 18 / day 16 ...... upped nute mix to 800ppm ... orderd calmag and another GH bloom enhancer.. cant remember the name now.... temps good, humidity good,... adding a little bit of H202 every 3-4 days ( couple of tablespoons ) to the 7 gal res ... pH is good.. kept within the 5.6-6.1 range... the system is pretty flawless and i only need really check my reservoir once or twice a day and flush every week or 2 ( depending on time) . .... sit back and wait for my new nutepack

they started to take off finally .. may consider lst or trying my hand with a quick SCRoG depending on what i can get setup in time ....
