What is "WFO"?
Wide Fucken Open ;)

and to explain... The fact you say that only medical patients are eligible, when you know well how it has changed to fit only the Rec smokers, far better than anyone else.
When you use this excuse, you lose face value in my books.

Many docs will sign people with no need as long as you chuck them a few dollars, I agree. Valid point. These LP's charge bm prices. Hence why I have a small script. Nobody with an average income could afford much more than 1-2g/day. As I said, LPs would have made a decent addition to the MMAR. They just don't work for most. I'm happy with mine other than cost. But I can see why others wouldn't be.

Hi GrowRock, good questions...

Compassionate pricing is presently in the works. It sounds like your cost would be prohibitive without some aid. Even though the compassionate pricing program isn't fully rolled out yet, Id recommend speaking with John (operations director) at Broken Coast if you are at all interested.

We use hydroponic systems to grow our cannabis because its easier to dial in the nutrient schedules which vary from strain to strain.

And... I'm definitely not the only one in the company that believes that people should be able to grow for themselves. Vancouver Island has a vibrant growing culture, Id urge you to come visit if you ever get the chance!
What kind of hydro system do yo guys grow in

We will have to wait and see how the court case pans out, but theres a pretty good chance the MMAR injunction will end with the right to grow your own medication being re-instated. (yay!)

For the people that cant grow them selves there are the Grey-market Dispensaries, White market LPs and Black Market dealers all of which are still (quite) accessible.

In terms of the cost, yes it is prohibitive for a lot of low income patients. Broken Coast is rolling out compassionate pricing in the near future to ensure that those with a legit need for herb aren't being erroneously precluded. But in terms of quality control, I'd wager a joint that you've never had your home grown weed tested for heavy metals, mold spores or microbial counts (which are required before LP product is shipped to a patient)

This testing is not so important for the recreational user, but for individuals with compromised immune systems its crucial. HIV patients in particular are quite susceptible to opportunistic infections that would otherwise be benign bacteria in a healthy individual.

Just wondering if you can cite one example of when "contaminated" mj has been an issue for a patient?
I've been involved for awhile and haven't read about any cases.
The only serious issues have been from PPS when they were growing in a mine.

he can't... it's just spouting off with 'what he's heard or understands'

as for testing patient meds?
Why?
When they work!
They're cheap! and there isn't an LP that could come close to the quality or find a strain even close to some of the best old school shit there be.

No worries Leaf. They all must to learn the hard way.
I find it sadly humorous to read how good people think their intentions are.
Everyone wants to be 'the hero"

I respectfully disagree.

Patients like my son ? Very little room for error. A fungal infection in a medically fragile child who is immune suppressed ? No thanks. Inconsistent THC/CBD ratios between vials of oil = havoc with seizure control. And if your going to tell me your Kush is 'for certain 100 % totally organic ' I want to see the paperwork, tyvm - especially if you intend to charge me $10/gram.

Physician endorsed pediatric use is still taboo here. If I ever ended up in Court and had to answer for my choice to pursue cannabis as a treatment option, their general standard starts with something to the effect of 'Would a reasonable, loving, and judicious parent do ....'. I don't know too many 'reasonable, loving, and judicious parents' in my situation who would administer medication without knowing the strength of the active ingredients.

Welcome crafty. I'm not sure how long you've been around here, but to this point there has been very little consistency from lp's. Are you able to grow?

It's your child. You can afford to pay for his meds.
I assume you work along with your husband or at least there are two of you taking care of your child.
This is the ONLY type of people this type of system works for.
A small minority by comparison to what patients can do for themselves!!!

That's " YOUR CHOICE ' !!!!!!!!

;)

Crafty Bitch... You should be at your local BIG PHARMA for what you want! Because you WILL NOT GET WHAT YOU ARE AFTER even now... :) BIG PHARMA doesn't care about your little child!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Neither does Health Canada!!!!!! As far as BIG PHARMA was concerned,,, MMJ is CRAP cheap and WE CANT MAKE MONEY OFF OF SOMETHING ANYONE CAN PRODUCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SO?? YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN.. !!!!!

Concentrations of THC and or CBD are different in every bud. If you r child is wanting meds then,,, oil is the way and to see yu buy what is being produced by LP's? LMAOROTFF.... Ya Its much better for you!
NOT

Most MMJ patients dont want what you do but hey..to each their own.

I hope you find what you are after but sadly I KNOW what you will find will only BREAK YOUR BANK!!!!!! and disappoint the hell of of you!!!!
This is YOUR OWN DEAL NO ONE ELSE will help you with this, if it is indeed your sons life we are talking about.

No excuses, just (strict) regulation.

That said, I definitely believe that recreational use will become legal and open in Canada.

Hi CraftyBiatch

the situation you just described is exactly why we test everything before its sold. Heavy metal, fungal spores and bacterial counts DO matter for patients. It's less of an issue when your talking recreational use.
