Seems to me there's a lot of misdirected anger between basically cool folks. You guys are actually on the same side...... so why not smokum peace pipe boys. We need you guys to fight the real asshats that appear here. and to keep the jagged pipe nice n jagged.
Let's not bicker and argue " over who killed who ".... eh.

ok I'll bite...
I don't think Doob is stupid. I might not have always agreed, but have appreciated his viewpoints. Again I haven't always agreed with gb, but I have really tried to understand what he's saying, and I do appreciate his viewpoint.

There was many more voices and posts that thought the MMPR had redeeming qualities a year ago than you see now. No clue why you think the opposite. Perhaps you weren't here a year ago?

As for me being a hidden crouching shill ( not sure I understand )...I will say again...
I believe that everyone should be able to grow their own mj or have someone grow it for them.
I believe there should be storefronts, not only mail delivery.
I think there should be LPs for those that want to go that route.
I believe people should have a choice...
and if that makes me a hidden crouching shill, well so be it....
Leafs not a schill. He's one of the most logical, calm , open minded , and knowledgeable members we have. I find him to be sensible and thoughtful in his comments....sometime, he's even a funny fuck...just not as funny as The Hippy....now I'm fuckin funny. Just restrained in my abilities by the mods is all. Although I think Sunni is falling in Love with me. My CHARM may have swept her off her pretty little feet. ....now if she'd only accept the goat.

I already said this: I never called Doob a shill. He's just mad because I corrected something stupid he said and he got mad aboutit and is now trying to place himself in the same ranks as Leaf. Leaf might be a hidden crouching shill, but he's at least not stupid like Doob is.

This place sure has gone downhill. I remember about a year ago when no one here would get away with saying the MMPR had redeeming aspects. Fuck all corporate profiteers, there is nothing about the system that is good, patients being sold shitty moldy overpriced weed helps no one.
I agree with your position on LPs....but the reason for the med mari program has changed thanks to the Feds.. Someone just starting to use may get whet they need from an LP...me,I couldn't afford to fill my script, and I,think my shit is better than their shit. But Dizzy, seriously you cannot fault people for trying to work within the confines of the law....I would rather know that LPs are producing crap....and it's not a softening of a position but an acceptance that some people do rely on them.

They way I see it is if I as a mmar grower dont want to be forced to buy from an Lp, why should people who dont have my amazing growing talents 8) be forced to grow? The way I see it if I want to buy an apple ill go to a farmers market and see what everyone has to offer. If I dont like their rotten apples, ill go home and plant an apple tree.
Whats wrong with having choices?

No, I'm well aware some aren't willing to man up and take charge of their life, and that those here who get backdoor kickbacks from the LP's will use that as a way to 'defend' the system they used to decry.
Yeah I'll man up when I have 10,000$ to pay a lawyer if I get caught growing my meds.

Hate LP'S. Don't hate the new patients who are forced to sign with them if they want to be legal.

With the caliber of lawyer you want, 10k doesnt cover the retainer unfortunately

aren't willing to man up?? what do you mean by that?
do you mean grow anyway and possibly have to spend thousands on a lawyer??

Depends what type of outcome you want.
A constitutional challenge in your name is about 250k
For pleading guilty to production and a one day sentencing hearing
I got all in for 3600 ended up with a conditional discharge .
Still not fun though .

Welcome George

I have a couple questions if you are in operations for broken coast. I am a patient with a mmar script for 7 grams a day.

Heaven forbid we lose the injunction... How will people like me who need MMJ on a daily basis to function be able to afford LP prices at $6 to $9 a gram at your company's going rate? On the low end my script would cost $1260 plus tax and shipping! I am really not trying to single you out but please look at what your LP mmpr company stands for in the eyes of patients. The government changed the rules making me and every other patient into criminals overnight just so companies like yours could take advantage of the sick and force us to buy meds we could get or produce for a $1 a gram or less.... So

Why no commpassionate pricing?

If you personally support personal rights to grow does your company brokencoast?

How are the plants at broken coast grown ex. Organic soil, hydro etc?
Hi GrowRock, good questions...

Compassionate pricing is presently in the works. It sounds like your cost would be prohibitive without some aid. Even though the compassionate pricing program isn't fully rolled out yet, Id recommend speaking with John (operations director) at Broken Coast if you are at all interested.

We use hydroponic systems to grow our cannabis because its easier to dial in the nutrient schedules which vary from strain to strain.

And... I'm definitely not the only one in the company that believes that people should be able to grow for themselves. Vancouver Island has a vibrant growing culture, Id urge you to come visit if you ever get the chance!

I considered you guys as an LP. I live in Nova Scotia though and I found it pretty inconvenient to wait that long for my meds when I was with Canna Farms which is also in BC.

I will say that your meds look better than most other LP'S.. Oh yeah..if you stick around, I'm sure there's going to be a few assholes you'll have to deal with. The ignore button works wonders.
Hey nsbudca thanks for saying so! I wish I was allowed to post pictures of our growing facilities, I felt like a kid in willy wonkas chocolate factory the first time I walked into the building.

Not to worried tho, if someone is upset I'm sure theres a good reason. I'm not a company spokes person or anything like that but I'm happy to answer any questions or complaints regarding Broken Coast Cannabis

Cheers :)

they could be irradiating, it's possible.. it's not exactly a transparent business being run here.. all we have are the words of someone who claims to known what's going on.. how many pictures had broken coast posted from within their facility? do they even have a facility? maybe they just resell biker weed..? anything's possible when money's on the table
Hi C Ray I'm the fella that works at Broken Coast Cannabis to which you were referring.

Thought you might be happy to hear that our bud is not irradiated, nor is it milled

As for the pictures... we're not allowed to post photos because of health canada's advertising restrictions :( but honestly wish I could show you anyways, there might be some 3rd parties that have uploaded pictures....

Yes we definitely have a facility. Im in the lunch room of our facility as I type this

And we grow everything we sell (darn proud of it too)

Generally speaking however, the frustration is understandable. The MMPR certainly has had its hiccups along the way and we're still figuring things out about the system as we go.

Yup. Don't buy this swan song crap for a minute. All LP's irradiate, at least some of them have the balls to admit it. I used to believe the 'little guys' weren't as bad as Tweed/Tilray but now I see they are all Harper's little bitches.
Hi TheDizzyBizzy

No irradiation from Broken Coast :) We had to fight hard to prove we could keep microbial counts in check without the cold pasteurization. And that was only possible because our batches are so small.

I don't know much about tilray/tweed... but you are right in that most of the other LPs are (in fact) required to irradiated their product.

Seems like quite a few of LPs are switching to a hydroponic grow-ops. I assumed growing in soil was easier. Therefore, LPs, such as Organigram, who grows in a soil medium would be able to control any future hiccups during growth/flowering.
