I have read somewhere that letting a plant seed with a very minimal amount of pollen just enought to register on the plants pistols. Helps it complete its cycle and locks in the necessary genetic information and release auxins to keep itsself stable and locked in as a female since it reproduced . Then reveg her , Anyone else tried it this.

I never heard of it, I've been curious weather or not certain insect pheromones may have some affect on the growth and development.

Keep asking the questions!

Imagine pollen as sperm and pistils as plant vaginas, once a pollen grain gets on a pistil it gets sucked to the base and begins to for a seed in the calyx which can be thought of as a womb. The resulting seed will have genetic information from both parents randomly rearranged 50/50 in its genotype.

If you want to pollinate one of your girls and then reveg her after the seeds are mature, you can do that its just the same procedure as breeding normally except at around week 4-5 of seed growth you increase the light schedule to 24/0 till she reverts back to veg.

great to hear that you made the leap from lurker to member :) welcome to the boards friend.

whatyyu mean? bugs can certainly infect plants with diseases if they are vectors for those diseases and lead to shitty or terminal growth but IDK about pheromones lol sounds like stoner science to me.

I have never heard of this. Are you thinking that on the reveg it will no longer show the hermi tendencies because of this? If so this is not the case. You cannot change the genotype of a plant by letting it seed and reveging it.

Selfing is in the genome....and I always argue up a brick wall about this...>EVERY cultivar of cannabis has the ability to self....Male/Female both....We just don't know how the fuck :)

But it seems to be tied to environmental stressors and now we enter the rabbit hole of epigenetics.
