Yeah its ridiculous hey, we usually get -8 regularly through winter and our coldest morning was only -3 this year lol. Then straight into the heat, means it will be long!
I grew a sugar haze from seedsman last year and it only just finished, we had a cold snap in early feb and she hermied on me :( bloody unreal smoke though!
I mainly do big indicas outside, can get those babies real frosty ;)

Ive got a shark shock and the blue og outside and a g13 labs C99 in a tent at the moment, also got a little breeding project going too with my dj short blueberry male going over a shiva skunk, mango, skunk 1, white shark and a female blueberry!

Your climate sounds pretty extreme, must be hard with the heat?. My winters rarely go below 2 degrees.

I reckon you could get 3-5 pounds off a single holy smokes malawi, someone pulled 3lbs at 45N so I guess you could grow a beast this year man.
I'm going to plant late otherwise my plants will end up 15' + and It's not my property.
What's the lineage of sugar haze?.

I'm doing some breeding too, bought some colloidial silver yesterday for fem seeds. Blueberry x mango would be a sweet cross bro, I'l be crossing pure sativas to pure indicas making f1s like a panama x pakistan chitral kush, taskenti x malawi etc.

Yeah bro, we can get a 30 degree difference in a day lol. At the moment its nice but we'll be back over 30 by the end of the week!

I have no doubt i could get 3-5 lbs out of plants, a long time ago myself and some bikie mates planted out in a forest in september, went back in early april and thought they'd been ripped until we looked up and saw these massive colas the size of a mans leg lol. We could only grab about 1/4 of the plants we initally planted as there was that much weed haha. We ended up with 5 garbage bags full and over 15lb's!

Sounds like your crosses should go down well too man, good luck with it :) my next one is a thai landrace sativa crossed to an old landrace indica called mikado, should be interesting :)

I couldn't handle that heat lol. the max in my climate is 30.3 degrees but our temperatures are pretty mild and good for growing(til 14th may).

Do you know your latitude bro?, oh man only a quarter? I would've gone back , but 15lbs is still a lot of weed!.
Yeah man I love f1 landrace crosses, that thai and indica landrace sounds awesome, do you know where the mikado originates from?.

1 week today. largest growth was 10cm and the tallest is 44cm. Anyone have any predictions for how tall they will get? I'm guessing between 50-65 cm.

I reckon they'll double in height at least bro :)

The hot dry heat gets to me each year man, im over it by xmas time and we dont get the hottest heat until Jan-early Feb :( I'm at about 36 S in latitude mate :(

We did end up going back but someone had beaten us to the punch and was all gone :( think it was a rival bikie gang from the area that was watching us! Glad to be well away from that scene now!!

Not exactly sure where the mikado came from hey, it seems ive got my info incorrect and its just an old strain not a landrace, still should work well though ;)

Your girls are looking great too man, keep up the good work!!

hopefully they do, they are growing an inch a day. It must be hard growing outdoors with that kind of heat. I'm nearly the same lat as you(37.4).

Oh well 15lbs is still plenty if you're not a commercial grower/dealer. The gang must of taken it if they were watching.

Old strains are still great. Thanks bro, this strain has impressed me so far for a free seed

They will man, ganja plants always surprise us lol.

Yeah bro 15lbs was great, kept me and my mates with smoke for a long time :) not too upset the rest was gone just happy we didnt get shot lol

Mate im looking forward to growing out the mikado it sounds delicious on the attitude site :)

Im really liking the blue og too, if mine shoots up like yours i'll be lst'ing like crazy ;)

My favourite plant just grew from 44 to 48 cm in less than a day. This plant is vigour for sure.

What strain was the plants? sounds like a mean yield.

That mikado will be awesome man, It's from federation seeds so it will be A class genetics. They used to have mean as strains but closed down.

http://aceseeds.org and http://cannabiogen.com/en/seeds-bank/cannabiogen.html check these sites out bro. They are spanish breeders who have worked landrace strains.
DSCF2026.jpg They both have a legendary strain panama.deep-chunk-panamá 2010.JPGPanama-17-040.jpg. cannabiogen has a few colombians and a pakistan landrace.

Damn i havent seen panama red for years, that was some good shit :D

You're making me think seriously about extending my 60 strain list and getting some landrace sativas to add to the mix ;)

The strain we grew was a big bud x santa marta gold if i remember correctly, had some thick ass buds lol.

Bro, 4cm overnight is wicked, they're on their way to doubling in size :D

Just been doing some reading on mikado too, if it is the same strain you mention, it will be a treat to grow and a knockout smoke :)

yeah panama looks so good, I have a 10 reg pack.

Definitely get some landrace sativas bro, there's a seedbank called tropical seeds and they have an african landrace called Ciskei with a flower time as short as 8 and 1/2 weeks- fastest landrace sativa available. It's being released again in november. Mulanje, mozambique poison and malawi gold from holy smokes are some good genetics from africa, long flower though.

That santa marta cross sounds very nice man, when did it finish outside?

Yeah I'm impressed with the vigour of blue og, the are showing sign of a good yield. I think this will be a knockout strain, it has some thai and og in it.

Good shit man, you'll get some good buds from those beans :D
I'll have a squiz at those strains you mention too, would love some sativas!

The santa marta cross we picked on anzac weekend so around end of april, i reckon they couldve gone another few weeks but it was getting frosty so picked them early. Just cant pick the weather here sometimes!

Hell yeah man, i reckon you're in for a real treat with the blue og, the thai and blue moonshine in its heritage is what sparked my interest initially :)

yeah the way they are growing, i'm in for a nice harvest I think. Definitely look at those strains bro, Ace and cannabiogen have the best genetics in seed form if you want an extreme sativa with a reasonable flower time go with Destoyer from cannabiogen; it is a (mexican x colombian) x Meao Thai or Zamaldelica fem from ace which is a malawi x zamal or the regular version which is a (malawi x meao thai) x zamal. both of these varieties finish under 14 weeks.

I'd say the santa marta would be a very long flowering sativa?.

Blue moonshine also sparked my interest, my pheno is heavily dominated by the blue family with red/purple stripes down the stems, but with the stem rub it smells more like a citrus sativa.
I grew Blue hash from dinfem and it was heavily dominated by the blueberry with the smell, unbelievable smell- like nothing iv seen before.

Old time moonshine is on my to grow list for sure.

Sweet as dude, will have a squiz next time im ordering some beans :) those sativas sound awesome!

Yeah man the santa marta was a very long flowering time, the smoke was unreal though. I grew out a sugar haze last year which is a haze x santa mart gold and it was supposed to be a 9 week strain but the breeder reckons i got the 14 week pheno and it hermied on me due to a cold snap mid flower, the smoke was still awesome though, almost trippy :D

Mate ive been looking for dj short moonshine for years, can only get the dutch passion one now which is just F2's of dj's version so it would take a few packs to find the good pheno! One for a later project i think!

Sweet as man, tropical seeds has a lot of african lines- swazi, congo, ciskei, durban and zambian.

I haven't smoked a pure sativa before, and I've just started the malawi- the breeders say it's the strongest sativa they have come across(which is a lot).
Haze x santa marta would be nice. Mt profile pic is of a 40+ year old haze line called old timers haze from ace seeds, they also have the real purple haze(the almost extinct one).

Well I've got some good news for you mate, Mosca Negra has old time moonshine. Don't get DP's version if it's a f2, mosca's a pure version.

You can't go wrong with african genetics bro, the most underrated marijuana gene pool. they're short flowering(for sativas) and big buds.

Cool man, will mosey on over for a look :)
Man you're in for a treat, Mohican on here grew a mulanje and i think a malawi as well and he reckons they were both knockout stones!! You'll love it :)

I must admit i love a good haze and have grown them since neville first introduced them, smoked many different versions over the years too. I would love to grow some original purple haze, shut my eyes and imagine im at woodstock listening to Jimmy lol

Just had a quick squiz at the mosca version of OTM and damn it looks good, bloody expensive but good..thats one for the future for sure!!

Man African genetics have almost been forgotten about when breeding but the resin they produce from being in hot radiating sun is ridiculous, there needs to be more breeding with them!

On a side note, got my tude order in the mail today, 8 days is pretty good :) got some hazeman Madness to try out and came with some blue bubba and bubbas widow so happy with that...hazeman is one to watch over the next few years, got some killer strains and is a nice guy to boot :)

Yeah I've talked to Mohican at icmag, His malawi was pure amazing; 3lbs at 44N with almost half lost to budrot. Looked like a 5 pound plant, I have 3 regulars also and 9 reg Mozambique poison, 1 Drakensberg and 2 zembezis- all african genetics.

You should buy some single old timers haze from herbies pick n mix, very stealth as it got to nz in 7 days. It would thrive in your heat conditions.

I don't know why africans aren't being bred mainstream, sensi and dutch passion durbans are not full landrace. I believe Africans are the most powerful landraces, there an awesome african landrace thread at icmag https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?threadid=90902 join up and look if you want. the ace and cannabiogen forums will blow your mind man.

I'd rather pay the bit extra to get the best genetics, definitely on my to buy list for the future(have too many strains to try first).

Sounds like you got some awesome beans bro, I'll look at his strains.

Have you heard of Pakistan Chitral Kush?. here' a leaf detail of the Blue og IMG-20131016-00130.jpg
