Blimburn Seeds - Anyone use them? grown them?

Bought 18 gorilla glue autos from blimburn. Distilled water and a papertowel in a dark container, none of the seeds popped properly, they just swelled and produced a tiny tail and then died. One sprouted and then got 2 inches tall and then went into stasis and stopped growing. One sorta produced a taproot but seperated from the seed shell and ripped its leaves off and died before I had a chance to even check on it. Had 50% germination rate on about 70 old seeds I had stored for about 5-10 years. So don't think my method is bad, just bad seeds, maybe they got hot in travel or something.

Sounds like things might've been too wet. Lose the humidity dome for the seedlings, it will do more harm than good. Humidity domes are for clones, not seedlings.

hey y'all

anyone had any experiences with blimburn seed strains? any successful/unsuccessful grows? quality or junk seeds? good smoke/extracts/edibles?
insights, experiences and stories would be appreciated.

i just ordered GDP+dosidos cross (BOGOF), black cherry soda (BOGOF), and purple kush from them. they threw in a free blackberry moonrocks for my troubles.
they have multiple payment options (i chose zelle) and i'd say within 15-20min of confirmation of payment, they sent an email confirming my payment and forwarding the order on for processing. said my package should be out for shipment before close of business today as my order was received before 2pm.

wow. that was quick!

hopefully the seeds are as good as their service.
so far, so good. (*knocks on wood*)
They ripped me off. Dead seeds. All of them.
Would not give my money back. STAY AWAY!

I"m currently trying out Blimburn at the moment and my first impressions are not good. The California Dream I'm growing out from them are coming out deformed. I'm guessing they sell lot of white label seeds from what I can tell.

of the two, so far blackberry kush has more scent. it has a slight kush fuel/diesel scent, earthy with sweet berries smell predominant.
BBK has been in the curing jars longer, so is starting to really finish up its scent.
it was a b!tch to trim though. cola tops are nice and dense, but lower down the branches is a bit more deceptive/larfy

PK i jumped the gun with trim. wasn't quite dry yet, but continued trimming as i have a lot more to harvest and don't want to get burnt out on trim too soon. it still smells green plant-ish for the most part but i can just start smelling a little bit of floral scent.
this one was also a challenging trim. similar structures in the plants. top colas thick and dense, deceptively larfy further down the branches.

thank you for the compliment. appreciate you.

i've had some winners come from runt seedlings.
blimburn sometimes nails it, sometimes not. but in my experience it leans more towards nails it. i have had some upsetting failures with their seeds sure, but not enough to be that butthurt about it.

grow as normal and see what it produces. it's still early. you'll know in another month or two if you're wasting time/space/nutes.

I agree. I will say this, I don't think their strain names are necessarily accurate. Same thing with Royal Queen Seeds. They have some good gear, but they rename/mislabel strains to sell more seeds.
I say this because I am growing a blimburn sour diesel, and it is very very purple, which is not a Sour diesel trait. Maybe nycd, but it doesn't have any of the Citrus type smell that nycd does (based on what I've read). But it is very nice overall. I just wish I knew what it actually was genetically.
And blimburn is white label seeds, they do take seeds, just a middle man.
Same experiences with Royal Queen. Good strains, rebranded. Some more obvious than others. They also have a solid skunk 1 from my experience growing the hybrids with skunk in em. But I don't think Royal queen is white label.

i have had far worse experiences with royal queen than i ever had with blimburn.

Please expand on this! First hand experiences are so valuable when choosing genetics to run. This is my main reason for using the forum.
Many years back I grew special queen. I had a really nice pheno, 8 weeks and stinky.
I more recently ran a skunk xl. 2 of 3 started, and both were good, one sweeter and more candy type flavor. But very uniform, good structure, ect. Maybe from the afghan, but i assumed afghans were more earthy flavor. Which makes me think it's actually bubblegum or something in the cross. Idk

RQS issues = full pack duds. no germination. not just one pack but several. i blew through 4 of 6 packs (20 seeds total) with zero germination. held up a section of outdoor grow for about 40 days.

i am aware this happens. but i find it odd that out of 20 seeds nothing came up. that's a pretty drastic failure rate. trying to get replacements/refund was a hassle also. so i just gave up on RQS and found other breeders with similar price points. this was a few years ago, and i'm fine with the choice. it spread out my search and i found a lot of other breeders and seed shops to fill the needs.

the main reason i'm sticking to "cheap" seeds is that i am on a strain hunt. growing for elderly relative with health issues. i have about 45 strains to get through. paying top dollar for hi-ya seeds is not cost effective. if the strain doesn't work i have an expensive pack of useless seeds. for the cost of one of the hi-ya seed packs i can buy 3-4 cheap seeds packs and cross more of the list. i'd rather send the JV team in first, see if they work and if they do, THEN buy the hi-ya seeds and send the varsity team in for the win.

blimburn has been a pretty solid JV team for the most part. and i have had some gems in and among their stuff.

STAY AWAY FROM THEM !!! lowest germination rate ever i have used almost every other European Seedbank and germination in glass of water until it drowns then paper towel and it was never under 95% now i ordered from Blimburn because they had action 1+1 and looked like nice strains which no one other has this is what i got:
Blackberry Moonrocks 0/2
Gush Mints 1/2 but there was no second leaves just cotyledons i threw it away after week of no progress
Moby Dick 0/2
Gorilla G4 3/3 but one has same problem with only cotyledons WTF
at same time RQS Green Gelato 3/3 and i am using Plagron Lightmix which is good quality soil also for seedlings
Their seeds are just pure robbery Fairseeds are selling same strains i think also from same wholesalers in USA and they are like 30% of Blimburn price
NEVER MORE !! Every other seedbank is better
I would like to throw in MEPHISTO FRICKIN GENETICS!!!!!!!!! ABSOLUTE TRASH OF GERMINATION RATES. The plants if you get them going, less than 50% germ rates. The plants are wonderful, the germ rates..... horrible ROI.

I am currently growing one of their Mexican red haired auto's.
I have 2 complaints.
The plant I have is not an auto, I had to switch to 12 12 to get it to flower.
I emailed them and they never answered.
