Black Gold Soil pH 6.0

Hi all

I'm new to the site, and just wanted a few thoughts on soil for my babe's.
I'm germinating 1 feminized white widow, and one fem skunk. They've
had a nice warm soak for 24 hr now. Tap root is showing on both seeds.

I'm using Black Gold soil the pH is at 6.0 using my meter, is that to hot
for my babies?

If im not mostaken black gold is just peat and worm casting and perlite? I used this for some clones to veg and they did great. But i would recommended to mix that with other amendments for future flowering. But as of now im sure ur babies will do just fine

Ur soil meter isnt accurate, not saying the ph isnt at 6.0 but those meters really dont tell the ph, would b nice but doesn't work that way. My blue lab soil ph works great for testing, but only test where i insert the probe, doesnt read the soil globally. truthfully kinda of a waste of money. As far as i kno, real accurate readings are done in labs. In organics, ph doesnt really matter, as long as u know ur soil is well balanced and well cooked, ur soil micro herds should balance everything else. (Dolmite and oystershell work great for balancing ph.)Read teaming with microbes for a better breakdown on organics and ph

i would mix in some dolomite, i have used the orange organic bag of black gold for establishing clones, it works very well as a basic medium without a lot of bells and whistles, if you use it as your permanent medium it needs amending. DO NOT use the red bag of black gold, it has time release fertilizer and will burn your plants.
