i think $360 is reasonable for a plug and play light with that efficiency
Thank you. :)

I did the math to make sure.

PLC 6: 1.96 * 598 = 1178 PPF, $799/1178 = $.678 per PPF
Timber 900wV29: 2.0 * 900 = 1800 PPF, 1399 = $.777 per PPF
HLG 550: 2.4 * 515 = 1236 PPF, $1049/1236 = $.848 per PPF
Tasty T22: 2.6 * 196 = 509 PPF, $360/509 = .707 per PPF
ChilLED Gen2 1000w: 2.7 * 1000 = 2700, $2199/2700 = .814 per PPF

Sorry guys. I didn't put much thought or consideration in that post. I just through together a quick comparison in a few minutes to give the OP something to work with, mainly on a umole/j basis which is mostly correct excluding the chilled which as mentioned by Cobkits and Stephen is from 350nm-750nm and is board level efficiency not system.

On the positive not at-least we are getting a good comparison and i like that $ per PPF list above.

I apologize to Rhaz i'll put some more thought in my future posts.

OHH, look, another post from the op from the FIRST page

"Would it just be better to use somthing else like MH or HID? I want to cover a 15x13 foot area with the best available lights"

I made it big and red for you because you're so fucking stupid and don't comprehend what you read. I can even post the quote where he asked me to give him my opinion on which lights to choose.
Now.Please tell Us how YOU contributed to finding OP the best light for him?LOL
He did say best lights available which HPS isn't it bud...... Even Gavita recommends a 1:1 DE to LEP because they know the spectrum is lacking. I guess you are smarter than the owners of the company who btw I talk to quite frequently..... Oh and I guess if you add up the efficiency and cost of those LEP into the mix DE HPS isn't really that cheap anymore.

And again like I said no half truths here he said the BEST light not cheapest...... You can fill that space with any lighting he chooses. He could do it with cfls stop trying to B.S. everyone here. In case you haven't noticed it seems You are in the minority..... People with cognitive bias usually are :(

I'm not trying to push anything. You aren't here to help the op at all. Otherwise you would be discussing things like umol/j umol/$ BTUs needed to cool his room and lighting. Operational costs over 1 yr 2 yrs 3 yrs ect. Spectrum quality of harvest ect.

that's funny, I found him the only UL listed LED, I did the math for him, I recommended he look at nanolux.I told him to be careful who he takes advise from.
