Okay, here's my official 100% Barney's Farm grow - started from feminized seeds.

- I'm currently at week 5 from seedling and have just taken clones this evening from all of the plants - one from each and an extra one from one of the nicer Vanilla Kush plants.

- I also just finished xplanting all of these plants this evening from their 6-inch pots into 20 litre soft-pots.

Soil Recipe:

~75% Premiere Pro-Mix
~15% Worm Castings
~10% home-made compost
~1.5 cups hort. lime

- My first big mix had all of the worm castings mixed in, and only filled 3.5 of the pots, so the Crimea Blue plant (repotted last) didn't get any worm castings in it's mix, but got a little extra compost in it's mix. We'll see if they can tell the difference! =)

- These plants have at least one more week in veg, possibly 2 or more though - i'll give them a good chance to root into their new soil first. I also want to wait until the Red Dragons are finished before starting flowering with these. The clones i've taken will not be ready to put into flower for at least another month i'd guess, so I need to get my additional light installed and setup sometime before then....then i'll have a full tent of flowering plants, about 1 month apart for harvesting down the road....

- Tomorrow night i'll water these plants in good - they actually got a nice dose of superthrive nuted water near the roots during the transplant, so that's why I decided to wait until the next day to officially water them in.

Here's a few pics of them in their new pots - just finished taking clones before these were taken. The Crimea Blue plant is the one in the back-right corner...enjoy, and welcome to my VK & CB grow!! :bigjoint:

Off to a good start im subscribed where do you get your root hormone?
Hey Kingpin, thanks for joining in! The rooting gel I used isn't anything fancy, it's called 'Roots' and I picked it up at Home Depot a while back. I also have rooting powder, but decided to try the gel this time - it's my very first attempt at cloning, so next time i'll use the powder and compare...

The plants all look very happy in their new homes! I'll give them a drink this evening of straight pH'd water. Really, I just want to keep them happy and get 'em used to their new pots these next few weeks before they go into flowering. I may need to tie them down a bit more yet before then as well so I don't run into any problems later on with height. Lots of tops coming on them though - should be a nice crop of VK! :leaf:

Gave the plants their first watering in their new pots this evening - they're all looking very perky still and I think it's due to the Superthrive I put in the water that I used around the root-ball during the transplant... These 20 litre pots make them look HUGE in the tub - only a few more weeks and they should be able to go into the flowering tent, right when the red dragons are finished.

- The clones are looking good so far as well. I'm misting them about once every 12 hours at this point...hope to maybe see some roots by this weekend but we'll see! :leaf:

These plants are doing great - I've been watching them outgrow their space in the tub these past few days and they really need to go into flowering soon! I'll give them a good watering tomorrow night with possibly a very light grow nute and Nirvana, but not a lot. They will need to wait another week before I have room for them in the flowering tent. Looks like they've made themselves right at home in their new pots and look to be some really nice plants!

My first attempt at cloning doesn't seem to be going all that well... a few are starting to root now, but most of them didn't root well in the rockwool. I plant to try cloning right into soil next time I think...we'll see what the few that are starting root look like by the end of next week.

Here's some nice pics of what the VK and CB look like at this point, 6 weeks into veg. Enjoy!! :weed:

yo got my vannila kush seeds doing organic got any advice
Well, so far all I can tell you is that they grow very fast once hitting 6 weeks in veg! I didn't give them a ton of grow nutes but they didn't seem to mind and are now reaching about 14-15 inches as they near the 7 week point of veg. They seem to really like foliar feeding (straight ph'd water) and have responded well to an initial LST for the first 4-5 weeks until repotting...I didn't retie them after they went into the 20 litre pots from t he 6 inch ones but the initial LST have saved me about 2-3 inches each. Looks like I may need to tie them down a bit again once they start on the 12/12 this weekend!

Stay tuned and we'll learn together what this strain likes/dislikes in the coming months! :weed:

I'm using Advanced Nutrients' Iguana Juice Grow so far along with a bit of AN Nirvana. I went very light in the veg stage here and they looked great the whole time... got some pics coming up later this evening, as they've all now been moved down into the flowering tent as I've got my additional light now setup in there.

These girls have been just blasting off in the past few weeks, and now that they're in the flowering tent, they've got more room now to explode. I'll have to spend some time tieing back some of these tops I think, otherwise I'll end up running out of room! (vertically) :weed:

Enjoy the pics! The Crimea Blue plant is the one in the middle! =)

Lookin delicious:weed: dayzt keep up the good work. Are they startin to get nice and stinky?
I've got a good filter in my tent there so I can't really smell them much since it's draws the smell through it nicely. They're looking as healthy as ever though and are getting really thick and bushy! Lots of tops developing too - great to see the Crimea Blue plant catching up to the canopy level too.

I'll try to get some pics up of them tomorrow or Sat evening. Tomorrow night is watering night! We got some rain just lately so the girls' first real flowering water will be nice fresh rain water!

These girls are really impressing me so far. I'm not sure if it's the worm castings in this soil mix or if it's the rain water they recently received, but they are loving their new home since the move! The canopy is staying nice and even so far, as the tops look to be starting to mature at mostly the same height. The Cirmea blue plant has some very thick stems and large bud sites developing.

- Update on the clones = I thought at first that only 3 survived but now i'm seeing roots coming out the bottoms of all 6!!

Here's some pics of what the girls look like at the end of the first week of flowering!!

lookin very nice hope mine look like them
Thanks! I'm really impressed with these genetics so far and they are getting nice and big without getting too tall yet. The tops are starting to really mature out which should mean they will start to slow down in stretching now...we'll see. There enough room to raise the light again if need be, but it would be nice to use all the future room for big tops!!

nice work. I got some seeds i'm just about to germinate. very excited about the Vanilla Kush! Great Journal! I'll be following!
Welcome! Good luck starting your VK! Post some pics up here when you get started so we can see your progress! =)

Cheers to RIU!!! This is officially my 300th post!!! :joint:

The ladies are all spread out in the tent now, the taller ones on the right and the shorter ones on the left...they appear to really like the extra space - enjoy the pics, just now half-way through the second week of flowering! :leaf:
