Best place in California or Colorado to open a dispensary

I live in Colorado but I'm thinking of opening a dispensary and will either stay here or move to California but I need to do some research into which California or Colorado city or county is (relatively speaking) safest from authorities, most relaxed on rules, least limitations on # of plants, and lowest cost to buy real estate.

Check your local laws. It varies from city to city and county to county. I'd say in Ca., it's like a mafia thing. I doubt just anyone could open a clinic, probably get burned down within a week or two. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong here.

The San Fernando Valley seems to have a booming business going. West Hollywood is good too. There's even one person advertising a Medical Marijuana home delivery service throughout Ventura, Santa Barbara, and Los Angeles County once a week in my local newspaper.

you are aiming a little high on this one...you arent going to find all thgese criteria in one place...as far as california goes we are full of dispensarys and more get opened up every day...we are really laxed on rules in alot of citys and we have a few 99 plant citys here also....now wha you will not find here is low real estate...also because of the vast majority of clubs here we also get alot of feds around here.....if you are really going to open up a club i would take a serious look at the legalities of it and take a long hard look at whether or not you are ready for the headaches and responsiblities of it...most clubs are run buy a co-op or group of people because of the cost involved and its harder to trace paperwork and licencess through a few people than it is 1 person.....im only saying this because some friends and i are looking into this same thing and the more we look into it the more we are thinking this may not be such a good idea yet due to the cost to start up and the cash yo need to keep tucked away for bail and lawyers, because if you do open up its only a matter of time before the feds come a knocking trying to shut you down. even if you are squeky clean its going to cost a great deal of time and money to go through.

and no medicine man its not like the mafia...unless you are talkin about the city officials that have to be paid off for permits:mrgreen:

Marijuana dispensaires are not controlled by organized crime syndicates, and you will definitely not have your club burnt down.

I would not open in California. Right now, the Feds are coordinating a state wide sweep of the
dispensaries in Cali. It's all over the news. Check out this link ~
Feds Threaten to Extinguish California's Pot Boom

California Report - Jun 20, 2011

"We've met with the DEA in this regard. People from Washington have been out to California to coordinate a statewide enforcement strategy,"

"Justice Department officials are saying the exemption only applies to seriously-ill people, not commercial growers and not medical marijuana distribution outlets."

You need to find out where the majority currently are. Bay area and Los Angeles seem to have a proliferation of them. As you most likely know it comes down to the municipality and if they are favorable or not. No sense in trying to litigate or convince a conservative area. Be sure to follow all your states laws and be 100% compliant and transparent.

One of the MMJ Attorneys just finished a video about your very question here

You might also want to watch theCalifornia overview to make sure you have the basics/fundamentals down.

Have fun trying to get any type of license in the state of CO. If you are not already in the business or connected and/or buying and old license, it won't happen.

I keep saying this and no one pays attention. Durango. Go to Durango. No one gives a shit there. Very huge tourist town and lots of rich people. It's very laid back. Very outdoorsy and a college town. I fucking LOVE Durango. :p

Can't get any type of license in CO for a dispensary unless you are buying one out from a person who already owns one. No one is selling them either. Cali is her only option of the two unless she has a lot of money and a license to buy from someone.
