Baking soda has alot of salt so be carefull with using it you may need to flush if your using it to change the ph. Plus baking soda will raise the ph of the water not lower it wich is what he is trying to do. Lemon juice on the other hand will lower it.
shit my bad i mistook the information presented infront of me. well now that thats straightened out! Another bit of info ive heard is using a little more Phosphourous in your ferts to regulate Ph levels.

Yes, bier is beneficial to all living things....

If you are going to use it on your weed, use the best. Light colored bier is NOT as good as Dark. Just like with molasses or honey, the least amount of processing is what you are after. Probably the best kind would be a STOUT bier, like a Guiness. A light bier would be the least desirable.

Would there be any benefit to mixing the beer into a tea, or just diluting it with water? I don't throw parties, and I don't ever have any "leftover" beer. I can't see buying a 12 pack for my plants either.

So...I'm wondering if a 40oz of some cheap stuff mixed into a tea, or just diluted with water would have any benefit. Or would I just be wasting my money?

Would it just be more cost effective to just buy a bottle of SPT?

Great thread OSG, I have probably learned more from you than anyone else on this forum.

HowardWCampbell..... I would not buy beer just to feed my plants. I've just always used the leftovers from parties, to reduce waste.
.
I've got that old hippe gene in me, that promotes reusing, reducing and recycling things. That's why I started this old thread. LOL ...
.
The SPT would be money better spent, comparted to a 40 oz beer. It's a great product and cheap enough for a frugal guy like myself.
.
Hope this helps.....

Ugggh..... just like my cousin.

He comes around to visit about three times a year. He is always amazed that when he comes back, if he left a few Bushies in my beer fridge, they are still there...untouched...

If you drink good bier... then u shouldn't have leftovers....

CrackerJax.... My beer bottles are always empty. However....there are always people at every party, who's eyes are bigger than their beer tanks.
.
Those are where my leftovers come from......
