Well I checked on them today and the Blue cheese's leaf looks like it's being munched on. Do gnats eat leaves? That's the only bug I've seen in there since the transplant, nothing compared to how many there were before but still. I lightly dusted some DE on the surface of their soil. Angers me a little bit because they were just starting to lift off :(.

If it turns out to be more then gnats, and they're little bugs on the actual plant itself, would it be safe to basically dust the plant as well as the soil with diatomaceous earth? I've seen videos of people dusting it all over their plants but don't know if it's safe to do

I went ahead and chopped all their heads off the other day, and came to the conclusion that they're all going to have to be small to fit :(, because I would have to veg the big one longer, and that would mean vegging all of them longer and with the space I can't do it. Going to have to leave those 3 plants in the pots they're in until done, going to transplant the seedlings when they're ready into about the same size pots, let them settle in veg a little longer and start flowering all of em. I did not expect all 3 of those plants to bounce back like they did, which is why I started germinating more seeds and now it's just a mess.

I just hope I don't run into root bound issues.... I think all of this coulda been avoided if I had just started the 3 original seeds in solo cups to begin with, these other seedlings seem to love em :)... So I guess next grow will be the 3 big plants I wanted . This grow will probably look like my 12/12 from seed one, total uneven canopy and just an overall mess

I actually have no idea what I want to do..... 3 big plants or 7 small plants. I think I would get much more from the 3 big plants but that would mean trashing these seedlings that are growing so well... I just don't know what to do :(. I really do want 3 big plants but I also really don't wanna toss these seedlings out.

What would you guys do? It's not like I payed for these seedlings or anything, they were just bag seeds I had sitting for a long time.

DSCN3958.jpg - or this

It's obvious to me which one would yield better, it's the thought of getting rid of the seedlings is what hurts me the most. I feel stupid, I don't think my actions through, I just did it and now I regret it (Planting more seeds because I thought the 3 wouldn't make it). The one big blue cheese plant i grew yielded a little over 44g, when all 7 of those little plants together only came out to like 36g.

Toss the seedlings, or keep everything small and keep em?

I checked on em earlier and it turns out I accidentally FIM'd the 2 kandy kush and maybe the blue cheese oops lol, they are responding to it well though :)

Can't believe it's already been 25 days since these 3 sprouted, they are so small :(. Anyway, I tried to top them, but the tops I tried to cut on them were all very small and couldn't get my snippers down to the base and accidentally ended up doin a FIM.

I went ahead and finished the job of topping them, FIM Doesn't seem like it's for me.. It just looks like it's a mess, the tops I cut off each had 4 new shoots growing in them, plus the blue cheese was properly topped sort of lol and I want to keep everything as even as possible

Roots are already coming out the bottom..... Is it okay to just let them be for another 2-3 months?

I went and topped kandy kush 2 again 2 times, she's growing so fast

They have all been topped 3 times now, plan on transplanting soon and gonna do some more topping when they're settled in their new pots then flower :)

Went and transplanted kandy kush 2 back into it's final home - DSCN1603.jpg

They are all transplanted back into their original homes :)

Scratch the more topping, they all got 4 new heads comin in. I'll give them another 1-2 weeks and start flowering... It's been 30 days already, I would of started flowering by now if they grew normally :(

Today is day 33 these 3 have been alive.... 17 days ago is when i transplanted them into their 1 gallon pots. They were pathetic looking little seedlings that weren't growing, I almost threw them out. I gave kandy kush #2 a little haircut so it's easier to water her (She had leaves sitting on the soil), Blue cheese is like fighting itself trying to get it's little tops over the fan leaves and it just looks like a cluster fuck of leaves, and kandy kush 2 is lookin alright. When it came down to it, I couldn't kill the bag seeds and special queen, So i've had them in there like 1 foot away from the cfl's lol. They've been growing though :p

Looking great G ...
Now, when "you" say "bag seed" ... what do you mean exactly ? Is it bag seed from a known strain or maybe not known but some "good" smole you had and found a seed ?

I am about (have to look at my pix for date) 3 weeks or less into a "bag seed" grow (1st ever) and the seeds came from some crappy a$$ smoke brah ! I went this route for a couple of reasons.
1) I wanted to grow something inexpensive @ 1st. test grow maybe.
2) I am paranoid as hell to order any good genetics (seeds). Scared to death, one might say.

So ... I probably wont ever grow anything other than "bag seed" or maybe clones. What I will call cartel weed (junk)
Plus the whole male/fem thing ... I would like to have better odds. lol

Ok ... real fast ! Been 30 yrs since I smoked weed. After many surgeries, many meds later... I decided to try MJ for medicinal (and enjoy) reasons about a yr ago. That said ... I never had any "good" MJ (Medical quality if you will) until about a month ago. I was able to get some really AWESOME purple stuff from somewhere over the rainbow .... and OMGosh. WOW ... is all I can say.
I dont imagine this BagSeed I am attempting, will be as good as the "purple stuff" ... but it should be good right. I know it depends on the grower, but if I follow the guidelines that "most" ppl use, I should have some decent smoke ... ? I am hoping for better than the shyte I pulled it out of anyway.

Needless to say .... I really would like to have some good genes for the next go around or after that. Just can't do it. And now I read some problems with a seed bank closing its doors, ripping off breeders ? (Cant speak on this ... just questioning) Not reassuring to say the least. Just Paranoid ... cant get over it enough to pull the trigger.

My little one (will start a thread a little further in)

Bag seeds are just seeds found in bags of weed you get lol, I have no idea where I got mine, I don't even remember what the smoke was like. Sometimes they will surprise you, just keep them happy and they will treat you. I honestly wouldn't be too worried about ordering seeds online, I've done it a few times, was scared the first time like you but they always came through, even if they did get caught while being shipped I don't think the penalty would be that serious, Police found my 3 plants and did pretty much nothing about it, they just told me to get rid of them and came back a few months later to check, I guess it all depends on where you live tho

That bag seed of yours can definitely become more potent then the buds it came out of, good luck with her :)!

Yeah ... I feel it may turn out ok. as long as I don't mess it up too bad. (1st attempt n all)

I have read where some folks dropped some "bag seed" but knew where it came from and possibly know what strain it may be. Just wondered if you knew.

Keep up the great work ! I am following along. Maybe I will learn something along the way. If I can learn what NOT to do ... then I will take it.
Sure wish I knew if it was fem. Guess I'll just call it "lil one" for now.

btw ... some bud pron ! Just a shot of the MMJ I was able to try. Man that stuff was good. Wish I knew what it was.

3 budz that size last me 4/5 days. 3 budz of the crap I get last 2 or so days. Ha

I was just reading some shit and saw for the first time someone mentioning wind burn..... That got me thinking, every time I've grown, the plant closest to the fan always looked the least healthy and always had twisted looking leaves, I always assumed it was because it was closer to the dark part of the closet. But after hearing about this wind burn, I'm almost certain that's what has been causing it this entire time if it can actually negatively effect the growth of plants. The plant closest to the fan now was pretty violently shaking around from the fan, now that I think about it the far right plants always have, so I just raised it about 1 foot above the plants for the first time ever. Hopefully it will start doing better, can't believe it took me this long to realize that

Diatomaceous, food grade, is great for this!

I actually saw a bug on my blue cheese yesterday..... I was looking at it thinking it was a piece of dirt and it moved around to hide from me so i turned her around and there was a bug ! It didn't look like the gnats I've been battling... More like a fruit fly or something, I smushed him haven't seen any others, but there are a lot of holes on her..... Maybe it was munching on it

My cal/mag got here just in time for their next watering. I used 5ml per gallon of water on em, I also read that people use this stuff EVERY watering...? Is that safe/necessary to do?

Topped 2 more times on blue cheese, her little side branches were outgrowing the main colas i was hoping for so i topped those, hopefully the 4 little heads will have time to catch up.

Bag seeds and special queen are gonna be some lanky bitches, better then ending their life early I assumed -

Depends on your water source really. If you use tap water then no way but if its distilled or r/o then yes, 10-20 drops per gallon.
