Well I've been reading around and I can't find out what's wrong with the kandy kush 1, and the blue cheese leaves are like straight up.

Really young plants don't really need alot so most of the time if there is a problem it's overwatering or a enviomental issue..maybe if the soil is that bad your best bet would be try a transplant , hope you get this figured out tho bro, if they do end up dying i might be able to get ya some clones

Just adding my 2¢.........go ahead and transplant out of the vigoro hole filler:).....anything else would be better! If your having issues now its only gonna get worse.....someone else said put a layer of perlite in the bottom...if it wont fall through and a layer on top or a layer of "laced"(DE) washed sand on top...you got some babies you shouldn't be water too much...just a little will do.peace

...and use smaller starting pots your just giving them a bigger breeding area...

Yeah I knew i should've started them in small cups, I don't know if I'll be transplanting them, I think I'll just grow them out and see what happens. To transplant them i would have to dig down around them and rip them up, I don't wanna do that again :(.

Next time MG soil and party cups to start :D

I'm also gonna move the lights up a bit, hopefully that will help, it seems like they are getting too much light, which I always thought was impossible but too much of anything can be bad right :P? The only reason being is because the blue cheese leaves are going straight up and i read it can be heat stress or too much light

Maybe they were too close....the air directly around the bulbs will be hotter and dryer and that could have been too much for seedlings...I mist my little ones at least a couple times a day

No signs of deficiency in the one that the leaves are straight up??......that's a good thing:)they are "praying to the light gods"

I think the diatomaceous earth is doing it's work :). I've only seen 1 little bugger since I applied it and he was really slow and weak it seemed, I put my finger near him and he didn't seem to give a hoot and just smushed him . I also put the layer of perlite on top, looks like it snowed in there now

I always thought DE was a little expensive concidering it only really covers the soil and shouldn't be used as a foliar also(i think)and is about 8+$ for a 4lb bag...but whatever works is my motto

Its good to use as a foliar spray when in veg,I would not recommend spraying on flowering plants....btw de has a shitload of different uses:eyesmoke:....to make it worth buying:)

I have a feeling that fucked up look kandy kush is gonna be all muted or somethin, because it's already trying to push out another set of leaves, when it just got it's tiny first leaves out. I dunno, just never seen that, usually the leaves get bigger before growing the next set from my experience. Nice to see they're actually progressing tho

I might try transplanting to smaller pots and new soil, but how would i? Should I just dig down around the little guys as deep as i can go and pull em up?

I'm going to say fuck it, attempt to save only the blue cheese and start over. These are just a hassle and a waste of time in my eyes, quite bummed it didn't turn out, but at least now I know what soil not to use :). Going to start germinating a bag seed and the last freebie I got which is special queen, but it looks kinda white so not sure if it will even germinate, I'll start germinating 3 seeds in case the blue cheese doesn't pull through lol.

I started germinating the special queen and 3 of the biggest healthiest lookin bag seeds I have

Well got new soil, Miracle gro moisture control. Was the soil I've always used before. But it's frozen, that means no bugs right :)? lol I hope so at least, gonna wait for it to thaw out

Well, I repotted all of those little seedling fellas today into miracle gro moisture control soil, much smaller pots. I'm almost certain that they were suffocating in their last homes, when I dumped the soil out it smelt of straight up rotten eggs really gnarly smelling, and the soil was still wet and was steaming, it seems like it wasn't drying out like it was supposed to because I rarely ever even watered them. My thoughts behind that was... I started them in way too big pots, and the roots couldn't help absorb the water so it just sat there and got all nasty. The special queen had a very healthy looking tail this morning, germinated real fast. I put her in a tiny little pot, once she's bigger I'll transplant to one of those 3 gallons.

The root balls of the blue cheese and kandys were very small and I did rip some roots because I heard and felt them ripping.... Do you guys think they'll be okay? Also, Kandy kush 1 looks like shit .

haha I hope so :D.

I also noticed earlier that I started germinating 5 seeds.... I thought i only put 3 in there hmmm, this grow is gonna be a mess

2 of the 3 big fat bag seeds I had popped and planted in solo cups

last of the 3 big fat seeds germinated and planted 12-7

2 bag seed sprouted 12-8

Kandy kush #2 looks to be on the road to being a healthy growing plant :)

I'm not sure how I'm going to grow these out tho.... I think only one plant will be in a 3 gallon, the rest in smaller pots to all fit. That one plant would have to be the Blue cheese if she starts to grow normally, reason being she's the only feminized seed out of the bunch, don't wanna grow out a bigger plant just to find out it's a male :(.

Well today the Blue cheese and kandy kushes are 19 days old, very small for their age. I just assume they're behind 10 days of growth because of the rocky beginning, so let's say they're 9 days old . The little seedlings are about 1 day old, some popped before others, the big fat seeds I planted seem to be very vigorous growers, we'll see :).

Thanks blue :), I've only had the chance to grow out the blue cheese once flowering for 70 days, was some of the tastiest smoke I've ever had, and knowing that I grew it myself made it all that much better. My camera's battery had fried out so the only pictures i got of the buds did her no justice :(. She came out to 44g
Image01022013174227.jpg

Here she was on day 56 of flowering, her weak stem structure couldn't support the dense buds :(
blue cheese.jpg

I also added 2 more lights on the seedling side because they looked a little stretched. So now there's a total of 432w and 25,600 Lumens worth of CFL in there.

That one was big buddha :), I didn't know which blue cheese to get when i was buying them and ended up buying big buddha. It is a very sweet dank smell.... My last plants i had flowering only made it to like 3-4 weeks flowering and they were just smelling of just amazingness, skunky sweet bubblegum is the way I described it.

I also saw a thread on toke and talk about what angers you the most... I couldn't find it so I'm just gonna say, Police brutality has got to be the thing that pisses me off more then anything, watching videos like that just gives me anxiety and makes me feel hostile I guess. I'm only saying this because I was looking at the news and saw this -

"I'm too fat and lazy to do anything, here's my dog" - I understand the suspect was resisting arrest and got in a high speed chase with the authorities, but when you finally capture the man and he has his hands up.... Is it really necessary to shove your dog through the man's window? I also noticed he tried to open up the door after throwing the dog in..... What a moron, does he think he has super human strength that he can move the car he just pinned the door closed with?

It's just fucking sickening.
