Barneys Farm LSD 90 watt CFL scrog grow

5 barneys farm feminized seeds
im using 3 (30 watt) cfls for vegging (daylight) the plants are currently 4 weeks in vegetation, i was looking to veg for another 2 possible 3 weeks to fill the screen up then flip to 12/12 and let the rest of the grow, grow upwards. my aim is to fill the whole box and screen.

ill will switch to 3 (30 watt) warm white bulbs for flowering when its time.

i used red bull cans to make cheap reflectors and also mylar. its my old guitar cab, i took out the speakers. i have an intake (1 pc fan 90mm) and a carbon filter there and and outtake which you cant actually see. 2 x 120mm pc fans with a carbon filter between them. having said that, the filters dont do much , the plants are smelling already and ive had to resort to buying ona gel, which you can see in the corner of one pic and a febreeze wall plug in. also i have to leave my window open as much as possible to really let in some fresh air. with the window open and ona gel and febreeze working you cant smell the plants. but i havnt started flowering yet so we shall see how bad it gets.

im aiming to yield around 45 grams dried does anyone think this is achievable witnessing the fotos?

the temp in the box varies around 85 to 95 degrees. but never above. i cant bring the temps down any lower without buying a proper carbon filter + fan. cant afford it plus i need a stealth evniornment. SO no loud fans etc.

the humidity is set at 30 % which i think is acceptable. yes the pots are small but i can water them everyday when they need water.

the plants seem to be coping. they are growing in bio bizz soil and im using bio bizz grow for veg and ill be using bio bizz bloom for flowering.

If all goes well, you'l at least get 25+ grams per plant. You gave me the idea of doing this in serveral places in my own house. A nice constant scrog grow if you had a few. + if you get 3 or 4 females thats how many at the most you'd want not 5, because when they grow...They bush. Peace

Im doing a super stealth one in my amplifyer only small to get like 10 or less grams just for a little bit of herb and coz i like gardening, i dont smoke much at all

decided to opt out of the scrog grow and put all the plants directly under the light to increase its intensity.

gonna veg for another week and then bobs your uncle, flip on 12/12 and let the party start.

slight leaf burn from over nuting a week earlier ago on one plant, but otherwise everything looks fine.

Hmm... I think if you get 2 or 3 females you should put the net back up when they just show sex... But if not that's fine should be a good grow. The buds just dont get the ultimate light, Seriously the head nugs just blaze and have a chance of being fat. Cfl's arent good for full plant growing - unless your planning to add at least a light or few. Apart from that, looking good. Peace

thanks for the input, i understand what your saying and perhaps may put the screen back up. ill give it a bit more time, was looking to pinch the tops of any plants trying to outgrow the others and get all 5 to grow up together .

whats your experience with growing feminized seeds? or barneys farm for that matter?

Feminized seeds are more efficent but i dont buy them. I buy mine in bulk. And i usually get no more than 3 males in a crop of 10. Feminized can just cost to much and kill the whole experience growing and the horticulture of dope if you know what i mean. If you pinch the tops and change the light time a week after that, trust me you'l start blooming fast if you top it correctly. And thats what you want for scrog too. But stick to your wits you sound like you know what your doing. Peace

Oh, Do you mean growing a female plant with seeds in it? Its works, puting a male by the plant whilst its budding but it can be risky if your not far enough in. Just dont want them to take the femlaes over i guess.Hope this helps

i fimmed all plants 1 week ago, so no growth in height.

I would say they'l come out in the end with only another 7-15cm in height.When are you switching to 12/12? Looking good, (Btw ive set up a grow just like it, Probably only a little bigger than yours. Pics as soon as i get cuttings next week). Peace

I have done RD, but not femmed. I got 3 very distinct phenos...looks like you may have 2. They will near double in size in the first 3 weeks after flipping.

The strain is well known for hermies and being weak on the potency (I was heart broken) it grows vigorously making big beautiful girls...just minus the heavy resin.

If I were you...especially if you are not in Cali and legal...REMOVE the myspace link, and if your myspace name is the same...Ask a mod to delete your RIU account and start a new one. Others have been sorry.

We'l see about the size. I doubt they will outgrow his box, especially if netting goes back up. Its not all about genetics, I could plant a sativa in the middle of a thornbush (One of my ways of outdoor growing.) And the bud comes out small, fat leaves + bud and potent. (Sounds like indica? Yes it does, but its weird and dope is awesome. Tame it. Its 50/50 gentics - and other 50 where your growing e.garea/soil/folliage/sprays/ferts ect. But i have litrally had purple bud from purple power on the net and blue/purple for blueberry and the most white whitewidow! So i guess genetics do show through MOST times, But i guess if you know how to "tame" plants then its allgood. In my perspective i believe you should tip them and put the net up, If you dont have the net you'l be needing a bit more light. Im intreged because its my grow that ill be showing in a weekish. Same light spacing and plant ammount. Peace

these plants officially stink! ive had to resort to moving the cab to a new location because it was stinking out my room. i dont have any filters, was relying on air freshener febreeze/ona but it just wasnt cutting it.

ive also added an extra warm white 2500k bulb.

brings total wattage up to 120 watts.
hopefully that should boost the crop a bit.
