I have had 2 experiences in my life where people have explained the best way to rob a bank. One time it was a bank robber in jail who was there for bank robbery, the other were police who came after we got car jacked. I don't want to explain all the details or someone might just take the plot line and make their own movie, but I do want to eventually do this, so I'll post the gist.
Here is most of what the bank robber told me:
No weapons need to be used, you just let the tellers know you are there to rob the bank. Skin color should be hidden or altered, as well as faces. You have to have a plan for the dye packs (he told me what he did), and you have to launder the money so that you don't have the same serial numbers (he did this by buying/selling crack, but there are much better plot lines). And you don't go in to the vault, you just get the money from the till and do it as many times as you can. Don't park in front of the bank because they are trained to alert the police, and get license plate numbers after giving you the money. And you do it in a small town so that you can easily get out of the city/county.
Here is what the Police told me:
They said that usually when someone gets car jacked, the people who steal the car will use it to rob a bank. That way it doesn't matter if they get the plates.
The storyline will be that 2 people meet in jail and plan this out after talking to a bank robber in jail.
And since we are in the age of terror, the robbery plot will also include diversions, where bombs are set off in various locations right before the robbery is conducted, and the robbers will have IEDs on hand. Things like Thermite, Nitrogen Triodide, Napalm, Gun powder, etc. as well as Scopolamine.
Then once they rob a few banks, they will decide that they need to make more money each time, but do not want to go in the vault so that they do not have to be rushed. So they will start robbing armored vehicles and throwing money everywhere to create traffic jams behind them.
And I don't want to give away the ending.
