I read an article earlier over at grasscity. Apparently there are over 2 million uncounted absentee ballots that have not been factored into Prop 19 final tally..In order for it to pass, 600,00 votes are needed. Go figure..it's not over!!

If Cooley does succeed, I think it will fuel a huge fire towards the 2012 vote.
But, no doubt it's gonna be rough for medical growers. For at lest the next two years.

2 million votes left, huh!
I guess there is still hope, however slim.

Cooley is the absolute last person Cali needs in office, this guy has a raging hardon for growers, medicinal, dispencaries etc etc...

Why did practicaly every big newspaper.media outlet in Cali endorse this jackass?

Bay Area Newspapers Endorse Cooley for Attorney General
October 19, 2010
LA DA Takes All Major Papers But Chronicle

Even Bay Area newspapers are endorsing Los Angeles County District Attorney Steve Cooley over San Francisco District Attorney Kamala Harris to be California Attorney General.
The Oakland Tribune and The Contra Costa Times issued their formal endorsements of Cooley over the weekend. For Harris, a former Alameda County Deputy DA, that has to be particularly embarrassing.
These newspapers join The Los Angeles Times, The San Diego Union-Tribune, The Sacramento Bee, The Bakersfield Californian, The Los Angeles Daily News, The Fresno Bee, The Torrance Breeze, The Woodland Daily Democrat, The Modesto Bee, The Long Beach Press-Telegram, among others, in endorsing Cooley. Harris has only been endorsed by one major newspaper to date – her hometown San Francisco Chronicle. The Oakland Tribune editorial is below:

He's a Republican.
Big news media is run by Republicans.
The medicinal arena really needs to speak up as a collective.. Cooley will run absolutely buck wild, he's an ego maniac with a hardon for this arena.. Sometimes I think its his sole obsession.. Remember those raids just a few short months ago when he was told to stand down and didn't? Talk about a waste of resources when the state is broke!

Have been hearing this stuff from these guys for years now...who is stiil here and bigger and stronger then we ever have been...USE OR THEM?
Well... cooley actually takes out dispensaries. In order not to go to federal jail lots of dispensaries rat out growers. You could see where this becomes a problem.

Even if prop 19 passed and cooley got elected, IT'S STILL A FEDERAL OFFENCE, and federal law trumps state law. So you don't think he would still welcome the federal government with open arms to defeat either medical marijuana or legalization of marijuana? So sounds like you should be more mad that cooley got elected more then failing the legalization of marijuana.

it was passed on a State Ballot and is part of the State constitution which pretty much means that an act of God will be about the only thing to get the 75% of votes to repeal the law.

Its a law, it isnt that easy to get it reversed. This is just some overpaid zealot looking for publicity so he can run for a higher office. Like Obama saying he was going to be transparent, remember? Everything on C-Span and no backroom dealings. WEll they will say anything to get elected. Thats what happening there.

I love Obama-mama, Ding-Dong jabs...in good fun though.

I am not in Cali, but if the election results have been officially "certified" then they are done counting and the results are the results.
Late or missing postal dates on the ballets, a lot of things can be "created" not to count an absentee vote. Hell, most states mailed out the absentee ballets out late to overseas military people knowing full well the odds of getting them back in time are slim to none.

For those who voted against Prop 19, as messed up as it may of been, you got what you wanted. No to legalization and now the state is going to say NO TO SALES as there is NO TAXES to collect. You may of won your small battle but you have done lost the war. There are no legal options to test now.

Not only are you wrong about .44 mag being the strongest handgun known to man, but you are a little misinformed about the ballots. The 2 million that have yet to be counted are absentee and will be counted because Cooley vs Harris is so fucking close that they need to in order to decide who's the DA. 19 isn't gonna pass this time around, which is a bummer, but oh well, 2012 has some nice potential for legalizing bud.
