Try posting your questions in this thread. You will get better responses since it would be more "on-topic".

A friendly suggestion, you might also want to use less "texting-speak" as well if you wish to attract the people in the know.

Of course if I post anything that doesn't agree with the random off-topic posting that you all know I love so well, I will be insulted by a few people and made out to be the bad guy.

So all I will do is ask drmarcusg is, why are you trying to derail The Cage?

that's quite a small pot..
are you going to transplant..? have you transplanted already?

one thing i'd say from my experience with auto's is I do not transplant them, unless space is an issue and it is unavoidable, I almost always plant them in their finishing containers...
their lifecycles are so short any kind of hindrance to growth will affect potential output of the plant as every day spent recovering is one day less growing/flowering..

yes i am going to transplant but was trying to get a little bit of root mass then upgrade the pot to a 1 gallon then if it gets bigger to a 3 or 4 gallon depending on size,
see i was told not to put plants in final pot due to the roots spread out an cannot uptake nutes/water as quick as they can in a small pot an can sometimes cause root rot,an that if you start with small pot an work your way up to larger pot you can get a better even distributed rootball as the roots spread out to the sides of the pot an start to wrap round or something like that, not so much that the roots choke themselves but enough to obtain a nice size rootball

*Please realize that I am just having a conversation and mean no ill-will with my opinion below. I know we all disagree with each other. This is why The Cage is important, we can show what happens with documented proof. We are all here to learn. :)

I disagree with just about everything in the quoted statement. Mainly because it is full of assumptions of other growers practices. Mine included.

I personally am not afraid to feed my plants. I push them to the limit and one of the things I am proud of saying is that my girls have taught me when they are hungry and when they are not. One thing they are not, is greedy. They will show you when they are eating too much and it isn't pretty.

The statement, "your plant will produce less by being underfed than by being burned a little" is true in some situations, but in frenchies situation his plant was burnt by overfeeding and if he continued to feed her, she would have possibly died making this statement false. This is why they call it "nute burn". It looks like a burn. He flushed it and she started to recover. This is an indicator that she was burnt.

OPINION INCOMING:
Now it is time for frenchie to feed her starting at 1/3 strenght and moving up to no more than 1/2 strength of the manufacturers recommended dosage.

Also, I do not think there is anyone here that feeds their girls "per instruction" of the manufacturer (besides your rare exceptions to the rule). Everyone on this forum, and I mean everyone, knows to go at most 1/2 strength. It is one of the first things everyone learns. Of course I go way below that for autos. Autos are very sensitive to nutrients in comparison to non-auto strains I have learned (look at my Snowryder grow, ugh...nute problems from the start), but I am preaching to the choir here on that subject.
And lasty, the statement, " Most varieties can take all the nutes you can feed them", I disagree with the most. No, Cannibus cannot take all the nutes you can feed them. I will leave my statement at that.
Hugs/beer/love/padded gloves... ;)
I always prepare my soil with dolomite lime. 1 dry ounce per gallon.
That's ok kulong, you are entitled to your wrong opinion. lol.
This is the common misconception that goes around this forum especially. If your using that specific nutrient line, or your growing a strain for the first time, then yeah, maybe you might wanna start out with 1/4 or 1/2 strength nutrients thats on the bottle to get to know the line. But eventually you wanna feed your plant at full strength or close (this is why I advocate the purchase of ppm meters. It's a lot easier to control the strength of your water and recommendation of the bottle becomes just a measure to gauge start at). Plants are hungry greedy bitches. They love their nitrogen, and they love their phosphorus and potassium. They may not eat as much as you can give them, but they grow as the rate at which you can feed them. That's why hydroponics are so popular. If you don't beleive that plants grow much, MUCH faster in hydroponic systems then just make a simple hydro table. Even with CFL's, the growth from hydro table's is out of this world! I literally ha to raise my lights everyday. Because there is no buffer between the food and the roots. The plants just keep eating and eating as fast as you give them.

You may be right when it comes to growing autos, but truth be told, I don't see over-feeding in the last pic French showed. I see pH problems. Over-feeding will cause crinkled yellow or brown, dying leaves. There certainly wouldn't be as much ok looking green growth. It would be very obvious if it were as bad as you guys are saying it is. Like it's almost dead or something...

Don't know how the hell I got unsubscribed from this thread?! I dont wanna quote about 20 posts but you guys' plants all look great. A lot quicker growth than mine at that age. Here's my easyryder at day 25, back right.

No pistils as of yet on it, if it turns out male, I'll cry.

Got back from my trip to Holland only to find some fucked leaves. Not what I was hoping to see. Fuck! 3 days left alone and this is what happens.

Looks like overfeeding so I flushed and redosed.

Doesn't look too bad lowryder666, the damage is only done to the lower growth, since you flushed that will stop the damage. Don't worry about it mate, look real good for 25 days.

I have noticed many of us are having "late bloomers".

Mine is at day 24 and no pistols yet.

I think it might have to do with the weather because many farmers here are saying that their food crops are acting strange this season.

Im in the UK, lol, but we have also had some really warm, dry weather. Extremely out of character for this time of year in my area. My lowryder 2 popped pistils at the second set of leaves though so beats me. A little longer veg, I am not complaining :D

my diesel ryder is about 28 days old, stunted a little from not transplanting earlier, but im never gonna put myself in a situation where i have to transplant an auto again except from seedling... lesson learned
here's my girl
