It's Friday night, fuckers!

No! Wait! It's Thursday, but there's a Public Holiday in Vic. tomorrow for something that's happening in Brisbane???? Something to do with 36 grown men beating the crap out of each other over a rugby ball on a cricket pitcho_O

Anyway, continuing on my Gillan retrospective mind-set of late........:

'Got Yanick Gers' autograph in my battle jacket.... amongst others..some may remember the photo's?

At some stage, I'll have to pull my old photo collection & find the one of me with Deep Purple to show-off & make me feel good inside about my honesty....

'Can't find the photo's, but here's pic's from my autograph book:

I went to school with Simon Austin (singer-songwriter of Frente!). I damn-near ended-up as their bass-player, but his songwriting & musical inclinations didn't match with mine, so I said "No". The bastard still owes me $20 for the Motorhead concert I paid for us to go to in 1984!

Angie Hart was an absolute honey back then (still is!!!!) & her dad kept a well-stocked fridge....

I also went to the same school & played soldiers with Julian Knight, but I generally eschew that association......

Ian Gillan's sense of humour & title of a song from the "Double Trouble" album:

Jon Lord & I discussed our mutual love of classical music before he signed my book:

Roger Glover was a warm, welcoming hippy & absolutely off his nut:

'Can't remember much about talking to Ian Paice, except telling him that he must work one day a week for the Devil, since he's a left-hander. He laughed....

I don't lie.

Telling the truth costs you nothing. Telling a lie can cost you everything. The more you lie, the more it costs you....

Hey can anybody here help me out ? I’m in west Australia and looking to buy a good organic soil bag mix for a outdoor grow or a cheap do it yourself organic mix where I can get all the ingredients from bunnings ? Any ideas what to buy ? Thanks in advance .

Sure you can just purchase some high quality potting mix like the Premium Plus stuff in a blue bag from Bunnings and some perlite (if you want).I am growing outdoors currently and just digging a hole in the garden two foot deep and 2 foot wide in the garden and filling it with potting mix then placing the plants in there.

Get this ....And add a few handfuls of perlite and aged chicken manure to it
Easy as fuck for newb or lazy preppers cos it works well
Best bagged soil I've ever come across
$12-$15 a bag

4 foot wide 2 foot deep
Try one that size compare to the 2by2 you will be surprised with the extra yield

So it seems...or diameter for round plots or pots. Also depends on spacing.
The weed, despite what many believe does not grow a deep tap root, but relies (like a weed) on it's fibrous adventitious root system.
Some of the biggest plants I've seen have had a tap root 4 inches diameter but only goes below surface bout 15cm then goes out wide

Most plants don't grow a taproot, as they are specialized root functions. Look at large trees that get uprooted, and check out how large and wide that root plate goes. But you do get specialised plants, like the Jarrahs over in WA that can send a long tap root that can potentially work its way through rock to get water.

Digging a hole in the ground is very much like creating a pot within the soil. I personally believe it's better to amend a larger area to a lighter depth and improve existing soil.

yet many growers talk about the necessity of feeding the tap root. We need to debunk that myth, and the myth about flushing...

Bullshit on the tap root
Every weed plant I've grown has one main root does it not ...then all the offside feeders/roots etc
This is the tap root is it not ?
We are talking weed here not bloody gum trees

I.dont feed the tap root...I feed far n wide of the plants stalk in different areas ...This way the main root sprouts all new little feeders looking for that source hence the roots spread wider
