sorry for the late reply just had the best shower :)
Yeah clay balls with the rockwool halfway down.
And probably not as the roots grow into the balls.

Yeah I was thinking about doing more smaller plants instead of a few bigger ones but thought for now I'll just get some in there give them plenty of light and space and start some experimenting. It's something I'll try at my own place while I'm getting clones going.
The 3 on the left are Super Lemon Haze, I brought some seeds back from a recent trip to Amsterdam, unknown strain on the right. The bigger ones on the right have been in just over 2 weeks since rooted and the SLH the same though they had just sprouted.

Got the lights on yoyo's so its easy enough to move, still to hook up the fan for the cooltubes, but with the shit weather we're having heat hasn't been an issue. We also built a roof over the container so it wasn't in the sun all day.
First grow was in coco but they were neglected ( didn't even test ph or ec) so I'm not taking too much intel from them.
Using Rapid Platinum grow and bloom, some Rhiz but thats all for now. Any suggestions for flowering additives?

I like the cool tube set up, but I was saying that you could have 16 plants that will grow just as big as 6 as there will still be the same amount of light penetration. Anyway good work man.

Yeh well you can re-use but I find balls a pain, alot of heavy shifting in and out of the tray not to mention a cunt to dispose of
Jim as far as the plant count goes mate it really is just that simple, if he put more smaller plants in there they would yield just the same but obviously in a shorter amount of time due to less veg.
It's all about the canopy bro, what sees light will turn to bud.
16 plants just as big as the 6 would need twice the space.

I'm not following the 16 just as big as 6, that would require the other half of the container,
I dunno Jimmy, I must be missing something.

Yes you keep thinking 16 smaller plants and 6 big ones. I am saying that they will be equal as 4 plants under a 600w light will receive as much light penetration per plant as 1 plant under the light. It's only when you start to put more then 4 plants under the light that each plants leaves start to cover others.

Not really 16 isn't that much harder the 6. He could fit a SOG of 24-48 or more in there.
How would 6 under the exact same eviroment and situation come up better then 16?
Like I said just a thought and I am happy with what he has done.

if you were looking after 16 kids your not gonna be able to give them 100% love 6 kids is a little more manageable... trying to help buddy even subcool's done the math! he's done mass SOG'S and even he says less plants more love!! and the same yield!!

Yes but what I am saying is 16 is a small number which will not be harder to manage.
It will produce more then 6 plants as each plant will grow exactly the same.
They get the same amount of light, care, food, love etc.
It isn't harder to manage more plants if you have adequate room and actually care about your plants.

Ahoy maddog. Ive worked 40+ per light, multiple lights, and pulled down some top shelf so i was told. Cop that when piggys park out the front of your house for unrelated matters, puts some hair on your tittys tell ya that hehehe

I agree Jimmy 16 aint much harder and id probably doing more then 6.
That said 3600watts is going to produce mucho poundage without much hassle, why increase the risk i spose, work/life balance.
That said OZgrower is learning to.
!6 plants will produce more in less time i agree there too.

quicker turnover I guess. What kind of watering set-up would you suggest for something like that? I have the pots plumbed at the bottom to return to the reservior. Would you do the same if it were many plants? I don't have any experience with different water methods I was shown this way and it seems fairly simple
